Introduction
Welcome to the Iron Conflict Beta Guide!

The Iron Conflict Beta will only be available for a limited amount of time, so we prepared this guide for you to help maximize the time you spend actually playing the game.

This section of the guide will walk you through the different ways to upgrade your units, improving their stats and abilities.
Modules
Modules are the different parts that comprise your unit. Upgrading your modules serves to increase your unit's stats, and also counts toward the research progress you need to unlock the next tier of units.

To start, open up the TECH TREE and click on a unit's icon. This will open up the module menu. The progress bar at the top shows you how much more EXP you need to spend on this unit before you’ll be able to research and/or purchase the unit at the next tier. The modules are displayed below. The first set of modules are unlocked by default. The next set will need to be researched.

Mouse over a module to see its stats:

These stats are critical toward helping you determine which modules to unlock first. More aggressive players may want to focus on modules that increase firepower and damage first, while players who like to stay mobile may want to choose modules boosting movement speed first.

Some modules only need to be researched to take effect. However, others will need to be purchased as well:

After you’ve purchased a module, click on it again to equip it. Once a purchased module has been equipped, a check mark will appear:

You need to make sure the check mark appears on the module that you've just purchased. If it doesn't appear, then the module is not equipped and you will not receive its stat bonuses.

After purchasing modules, the Research Progress bar at the top of the module screen will start to fill up. Once it is full, then you will be able to research and purchase the unit in the next tier.
Ammo and Accessories
To access ammo and accessories, click on either the empty icons with the + signs or the bullet icons at the bottom of the main screen:

This will open the ammo and accessories panel. Here you can see the different kinds of ammunition available for your unit, as well as accessories that can be used to improve its stats.

Some units may only have one type of ammunition available, while others may have up to three. Whether the unit is carrying one type of ammo or three, the total amount of ammunition that each unit can carry is limited.

In the screenshot above, you'll see that the M1A2 is carrying 182 rounds of M26 AP (armor penetrating) ammunition. This is equal to its total limit. In order to carry some HE (high explosive) ammunition, you would have to reduce the number of AP rounds by clicking the down arrow, or by entering a new amount in the amount field. If you wanted half AP and half HE rounds, you could enter "91" in the AP Amount field and then "91" in the HE field. This will fill your unit up to the limit again, but you'll have different types of ammo at your disposal this time. Ammunition costs Silver, so make sure you have enough.

To add accessories to your unit, click one of the plus signs in the accessories portion of the panel:

This will open up a list of accessories suitable for your unit:

These accessories act as upgrades for your units. Many of them are expensive, so you won't be able to afford them right away - you'll need to earn Silver through battles to be able to purchase them. Items you can't afford are grayed out.

Some accessories bestow passive bonuses, like increasing reload time or movement speed. These tend to be more expensive. Others are items that you can use in battle, such as the Repair Kit seen above. These are consumable, and will appear in your Command Panel in battle. Once used, you will need to purchase them again to get more.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. I wasn't clicking on the bottom part of the box. I'm all good. Thanks.

Hey BIKERTRASH1, is the button you're clicking on green or orange?

In the tech tree, you can research and upgrade units and their modules (which are basically just upgradable parts).

Green would indicate you are trying to research the unit or unit module, which requires EXP.
Orange would indicate you're trying to buy the unit or unit module, which requires Silver.

Both EXP and Silver are earned through battles, so make sure you've got enough when you try to upgrade units.

Having trouble with the tech tree. I click on upgrades but nothing happens. Either I am doing it wrong, which seems pretty simple, point and click, or its glitched. Need help.
