OLD [MvM] Fun Vaccinator Guide
By Fox with two guns
The vaccinator is one of the most hated weapons in MvM. It's sad. Here's a short, but very informative guide to the Vaccinator. And reasons why, the Vax can be the best medigun.

1.) Resistances
This isn't the best feature of the vaccinator don't worry,
it gets waaay better trust me.

This one is kinda obvious, but it can be useful. (using the reload keybind) you can cycle through all the resistnaces. most MvM waves are bunched with waves of the same damage. Resistances can protect from waves of explosive rockets.
It's only 10% when not ubering, and 75% when you uber. Another great factor about the Ubercharge, is that it Nullifies crits for that resistance. This was said to be a glitch, but for the time being, it's pretty useful.
Resistifying (not a real word) a player is easy, you just have to hit the uber when they drop low on health. It's pretty useful, but what happens if they die? Well... that's where point two comes in
2.) Quick Revive
probably one of the best parts of this is the idea of quick revive. You may have already noticed that when you're ubering, weather it be uber gun or kritz, you revive people really fast. Something like 3 times faster. Now put that together with the vaccinator. With the Vax, you are able to deploy your uber at 25%, and able to save the rest of your uber for later. meaning if someone on your team dies, you can use 25% of your full uber to get him up, instantly. (depending on healing rate upgrade)

^ demonstration ^
I was able to revive a heavy with only 25% revive rate using 25% of my uber (2.5) seconds, instead of something like 8 seconds, with other guns. I was also, (toward the end of the game) able to insta revive 2 150-200hp players with only 25% uber.

The Vac is a beautiful version of a back up gun. And people tend to hate those words, because they feel like they could be doing more damage. But as it turns out, like i said. Backing up people to the point where if they die, they only loose a few seconds of playtime, not 20 seconds and 30 credits.

Those credits can be put toward damage. Or critz canteens.
3.) More damage dealt
WAHT? I THOUGHT ONLY KREETSKREEG COULD DO DHAT.

well yes, that is true, but take a minute to think about it. using deductive reasoning: You can't do damage while you're dead, if you have to wait an extra 5 seconds to be revived, you loose 5 seconds of firing bullets. reviving your teamates instantly helps their damage greatly, seeing as how the revivie gives them a fully loaded gun. A soldier could fire up to 12 rockets, die, and be revived instantly being able to fire 12 more.

FOR THE PRO MvM TEAMS
Being resistified, allows players to not have to dodge damage, and take it like a man. Meaning they can deal more damage, and spend less time running away from rockets. If you are a pro, and you dodge rockets and all damage, (like some of you claim to do) then think of the damage you could be doing if you didn't have to dodge damage? hmm? so yes, this gun works for teams that aparently "never die" allowing them to take risks to do more damage.

And, instead of players having to upgrade their resistances, to die less. They can upgrade damage. That's about 25% more damage per player, where as the Kritzkrieg only buffs one player for a short amount of time.
L o o k a t a l l t h e s e r e a s o n s ^
Do the math yourself.

So yes. it does do "more damage"
4.) More Healing
USHELESS RESISTANCE IS NOT GUD I NEED UBR GUN OR QWIK FEX!!1

well let me explain. Again deductive reasoning: with a normal uber gun, you would probably be spending about 3-4 seconds reviving a player. meaining you wouldn't be able to heal other people. Using the Vaccionator, you would be able to insta revive them in 0.5-1 second, and move on to healing, reviving, and/or resisting other players. That's a ton of healing. you could also say it gives more health when you resist. And finally, it heals you! everytime you protect a player from a damage type you get 25% of that damage as health.

So yeah, it does heal more too. (of course you have to use it the right way)

There's one drawback, of course. The -66% overheal build rate. Except, this can be looked at in another way. Slower overheal rate can give you more time to build your uber and ENERGY. In other words, it doesn't stunt your uber growth. Silver linings. eh?
Conclusion and Comparison
There is one more little thing the Vaccinator does for you: When you use 25% of your uber to quick revive someone, your NERGY builds 3x faster, getting you a sheild up in no time.

Yes the Other uber guns are very good, and I would probably recommened them if you are kinda noobish, or don't like being doubted. But here's how I will compare the two:

Uber,Critz, and Quickfix
These guns offer a very good buff, that happens every 1-2 minutes of the game (including the time going out of your way to get uber, and not including all the time you wait for the right moment) , although you have the chance of being killed with 99% uber, or failing to deploy it in time,
and that's just-

(that's you leaving the server) ^

The Vaccinator
This gun offers a small, but pretty darn good revive/resistance/health4u buff that happens every 10-15 seconds during combat, and the healing and resistance buffs happen pretty much all the time. And there is no time waiting for 100% uber. you have your uber basically all the time.
---Not to mention the usage of Crit canteens---
(here's a nifty thing you can do with the new update: deploy a crit canteen on a player, then you can stop healing him, and use your bonesaw to slap the tank a few times, because both you and your friend have crits.)

IN CONCLUSION
The Vaccinator is something you will want to use if your team dies a lot. Also if you are a quick thinker, and don't die that much yourslef. So yeah, you will be happy, get lots of points, and your team will be pretty darn happy too.

(that's your team) ^

(that's you) ^

(that's the kritzkrieg worshipers) ^
Who think the best way to win,
Is to spend half the time you could
be healing/resistifing people, ubersawing to get kritz.
And feel the team should fend for themselves.

Loadout suggestions, tactics
The loadout which works for me is any syringe gun plus the Ubersaw (for getting a chunk of uber when you need it). Because your job as a medic with this gun, is to stay alive. You should get speed, resistances, and you don't need health regen that much, because of the Vaccinator self heal effect. (25% of correct damage type comes back as health.)

Other then resistances, and move speed, be sure to upgrade your uber gun -and the shield of course. (try to spread your upgrades around, not dying is also a good idea.)

The uber duration upgrade works a little more different on the vaccinator. Although it isn't much, you can go from 2 seconds to 3.5 seconds per chunk. Which is okay, and helps when you revive multiple people in one area.

That's about it. Stay back, but encourage players to be a little brave. Especially when you have uber. if you have a pyro, then you will have a busy time reviving that little shlub. (it's kinda fun actually)
Credits
Alright, time to do more productive things.

Please tell me how this helped you, and even other things that might need to be mentioned. Leave a comment, fav, and share!

You should rate this if it was informative to you, not because you think the Kritz is better. That's all i'm trying to do is inform you guys. The other uber guns aren't bad. this is just a fun new thing you should try now.

Guides are for newer players seeking help. I used gifs to simplify my points and provide a general easy read for the a v e r a g e tf2 player. Telling kids that medic is useless because it can be replaced with damage wont help anyone who isn't as good as you are. See, I know you are very proud of having 4,000 hours in tf2, and a bunch of rare virtual weapons. I understand how you could say MvM is easy because you're so good at it. Congratulations, really. Put it on your resume.

1. The guide is nowhere up to date.
2. Critic is now "spouting feels all over the place." Thank you kindly for reminding me how touchy the community is if it comes to critic

The Eye obviously hasn't had the privelege of being serviced by a competent medic who knows how to operate the Vaccinator correctly.

False.
Vaccinator's Uber always charges at the same rate. Doesnt matter if overhealed, or low health.
Also, Shield charge depends on healing done. A Uber multiples this by a specific amount (Around 3 or 4 times faster)

Vaccinators usefulness depends on your Teammates.

If you have Teammates doing great, (Not diying, bodyblocking, generaly obliteration robots) the Vaccinator becomes less useful.

If your Team is bad, (keeps diying, not getting shit done etc) it becomes great.

Short Version:
- The Better your Teamates are, the worse it gets.
- The worse your Teammates are, the better it gets.

Or don't play Medic at all in MvM. He is obsolete and can be replaced by any other damage class.
