@Jamite :

I know I'm a bit late... but do you say you can change ship-classifications(small/large/huge/etc) without having to save as part ???:lunar2020horrifiedrat::2018saliengoo2::ttt_questionmark:

Or are you just scaling the ship's optical size?

I'll have to try that method. Once understood I'll have a 3rd way of resizing starships irregardless of which ship hulls they're in. Got two other methods that's easy to use:
Method 1: (decreasing ship size only) After creating ship, put part Xraki 3 at rearmost area of ship. Create a chain of Xraki sphere at smallest size, all invisible except the outermost Xraki sphere. That one has to be visible. Cuz its at it smallest & dark. You really have to seek it out to find it in the game. This for me is the easiest one to use & to adjust as needed.
Method 2: (increasing & decreasing ship size) I always start creating starships with a Slyne EnergyBall part as "Keystone" on which all parts of ship rest upon. With this "Keystone" & a sensor equipped (dunno why its required), by adjusting the size of the Slyne EnergyBall part (keystone), it affects the size of the whole starship. So its possible to have a Odo Class multi-purpose ship from tiny hull slot & cargo hull slot be similar in size.

In the ship designer if you click on "style" it will sort your saved custom parts to the top section. Try giving a new custom part a name beginning with A and it should be quite easy to find. It might be invisible to start with, but if you quit the game and restart you'll be able to see it from then on. If you're designing in-game remember to save the game before quitting or you'll lose everything.

I seen this option but never understood it. Ever time I save a collection of parts like a nacelle. It disappear. Never could find it after saving it.
All my ships are done piece by piece, no cloning. This way I can click on my "keystone" (red glowing globe) and be able to rotate and admire my starships from any angle.The red glowing globe also lets me increase or decrease starships size but it requires having a sensor equipped with it! Dunno know why. Have to experiment what other ships tech lets me do that later.
but it lets me increase the Knife Class Corvette (Saladin Class from StarTrek) from Tiny Hulls to be similar to Small Hull Corvettes. Same as my Avenger Class Light Cruiser (Miranda Class) of Small Hulls looks slightly smaller than the ConstitutionII Class Cruiser of Medium Hulls. Again I had to equip these starship with sensor along with red glowing part as Keystone to make it possible to increase or decrease ship's sizes.

You could try to save the entire ship as a new part and then make a new ship out of that, which will allow you to decrease it in size. Just highlight all the parts with the shift key and click on save as new part. It doesn't always work well though. Any parts you made invisible will become visible, it will undo any horizontal/vertical symmetry and if you've attached more than one part to the base block, these will not take.

Notice all my starships in all hull sizes are much larger than those ships the GC3 civilizations provides. Is there a way to decreased my starships sizes without having to redo them all?

Thanks! Be my guest. Its mainly the secondary hull. The saucer section, nacelles and bits of the deflector are custom parts. Made it easier adjust their shape without having to move millions of ship parts as well..

Downloaded this starship. Gonna have to study how you did this. Very well made. Cant believe it was even possible to make ST ships look so similar to those in StarTrek!

Nothing so technical... just hours of tweaking and positioning parts trying to make it resemble the ship! Once subbed it should be available whatever faction you're playing in the downloaded tab in the ship designer

One of my favorite ships from Star Trek Online! I don't get how you make such a thing....is there a Dev Kit or Toolkit out there I don't know about or something? Or are you making this in blender and then coding it to work?

Also, I am assuming this is assigned to Terran? Or do I need to figure out again how to port this into the correct file for Terran?
