This creature is large, stationary but has long range arms and is very dangerous if one ends up in its "grab radius"

potentially symbolising how Steven secretly sees Spinel as dangerous if approached wrong, how he fears she may relapse if she stays with the diamonds, his fears manifest as this, a rooted aggressive creature that can easily turn violent if approached wrongly.
