[WOTC] Powerful Breakthroughs

Description
OVERVIEW
This mod adds three new powerful Breakthroughs to unlock the effects of the following Resistance Cards: Armed to the Teeth*, Inside Knowledge and Integrated Warfare.
*This one was removed from the WOTC expansion so this mod adds its effect back into the game.

The new Breakthroughs will start appearing in mid/late game, as soon as you research Elerium.

By gating these effects behind Breakthroughs instead of Resistance Cards, you are guaranteed an opportunity to unlock these effects if you play long enough.

The Resistance Cards will be disabled for new campaigns.

List of new Breakthroughs:
  • Advanced Modular Weapons: unlocks an additional upgrade slot for all primary weapons
    (Armed to the Teeth) - Yes it stacks with other Breakthroughs for a total of 4 slots
  • Improved Weapon Upgrades: increased effect for all weapon upgrades
    (Inside Knowledge)
  • Improved Personal Combat Sims: increased effect for all PCS
    (Integrated Warfare)

CONFIGURATION
The configuration file should be in the following location:
<Your Steam Install> \steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2232482267\Config\XComStrategyTuning.ini

You can change the requirement for the new breakthroughs.

COMPATIBILITY
This mod should be compatible with any mod as it only adds three new research Breakthroughs.

In my last campaign I had "Improved Weapon Upgrades" and "Improved Personal Combat Sims".

Is this for vanilla? Because I can already have these breakthroughs and I don't have this mod installed. Is there another mod that adds these specifically?

This mod actually does what I want in a kind of unintuitive way.
See, I don't use the weapon attachments or PCS's in my campain (got gene mods instead) and so I treat them as typical RPG "sell trash" for the black market only.
So, if I install this and make it so that the breakthroughs don't show up (by requireing all the endgame techs), this prevents the resistance cards that are useless to me from spawning.

So thank you for this little gem, I'll make sure to put it to good use :)

I figured the 'older' mod would be redundant. Much prefer your breakthrough route too instead of a solid research, gives them a bit of randomness as to when they will pop up.

I look forward to seeing your breakthrough bugfix mod :)

@RustyDios There are two differences with that mod:
- AMW is added as a breakthrough instead of a regular guaranteed research
- I add two other breakthroughs

Both mods are not technically incompatible but having two AMW would be redundant..

I actually plan on releasing my personal breakthrough mod in the next few weeks that includes most changes to breakthroughs in the workshop, including this mod, but with a few tweaks, bugfixes, additional configs, etc.

Updated the mod:
- Added custom research images, thanks to neIVIesis
- You can now change the requirements for the breakthroughs through configs
