Right off the bat, you might feel like your character is running on Ice.
That's because Karl's movement is calculated, based on the Game's framerate, which it runs on.
This means the higher the FPS we get, the more messed up movement becomes.
Game used to force V-Sync by default, but since Windows 10 this functionality has been broken.

A simple solution is to cap the game's framerate at around 60 FPS... Which can't be achieved via Nvidia Control Panel anymore, because the game runs natively on a deprecated DirectX 8 API, which isn't fully supported by modern hardware nowadays. This leads us to third-party tools.

A good way to lock FPS would be to use DirectX wrapper libraries like DXVK[github.com]or D3D8-Wrapper[github.com]

An alternative to DirectX wrappers is to use a popular tool called RTSS (Rivatuner Statistics Server)[www.guru3d.com]

Sniper Elite natively only supports 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios, which on the other side 16:9 is poorly implemented... stretching out the whole game, which causes inconsistencies, like asymmetrical GUI sizing or reduced FOV. While other aspect ratios, like 21:9 are completely out of the scope.

Fortunately, a known guy from his Widescreen fixes, has also made a fix for Sniper Elite, which (obviously) fixes all the issues mentioned above. https://github.com/ThirteenAG/WidescreenFixesPack/releases/tag/sniperelite

All we have to do is unpack the content of "SniperElite.WidescreenFix.zip" into the game's directory.

PC version of the game doesn't detect any controllers. Fortunately there's a workaround for that.
AntimicroX[github.com] is a mouse & keyboard remapper for controllers, which works fine to trick Sniper Elite, with plenty of customization.
