In the Star Trek universe, the Class F Shuttlecraft was a standard auxiliary craft on deep space vessels by the mid 2260's. They were ubiquitous on nearly all mid to large sized starship classes (Constitution, Miranda, etc).

In the real world, the shuttle was designed by Matt Jefferies in 1965.

This ship comfortably houses a crew of 7.
