Mod Changes (1)
All changes here are done exclusively through buffs - no remaps or additional creatures are present in this mod whatsoever.

Don't like something? Features can be disabled on a per-dino basis. Some may be disabled by default.

Amargasaurus
  • Wild Amargas are now immune to friendly fire from a person taming them

Araneo
  • Can jump

Astrocetus
  • Fixed the issue that caused a massive taming effectiveness drop under any circumstance (even if not hit by splash damage)

Attack Drone (Lunar)
  • Attack Drones in the Lunar biome are no longer aggressive on sight and will be neutral towards players/tames.

Bloodstalker
  • Now starts at 100% taming effectiveness

Carcha
  • Wild Carcha now has 30 seconds before the “friendship meter” starts to drop when taming, rather than 5 seconds

Carnotaurus
  • Secondary attack now causes significant knockback on targets and a slowed effect rather than causing bleed

Coelacanth
  • Tamed Coel will no longer be insta-killed by Ichthyornis/Hesperonis, have drag weight increased to 33.0, have their unused eating animation, can gain XP and level up, and should be less likely to "suicide" by wandering out of water. They can also receive buffs.
  • Gendered, breeding can be enabled via ini.
  • Can be cloned and has valid mutagen cost
  • Corpse no longer vanishes if killed too quickly after spawning does not work in live unfortunately - no known fix
  • Fixed typo in Aberrant Coelacanth descriptive name Fixed in vanilla!

Crystal Wyvern
  • Wild Tropical Crystal Wyvern Heirs now have the correct nest tag and should spawn wild eggs like Blood/Ember heirs do.

Deinonychus
  • Fixed materials to properly show skin color regions

Diplodocus
  • Neutral towards players/tames instead of "aggroing" and pushing them off cliffs without being provoked.

Desmodus
  • Now starts at 100% taming effectiveness

Dung Beetle
  • Gendered, breeding can be enabled via ini.

Electrophorus
  • Decreased wild natural targeting range

Fenrir

Griffin
  • Gendered, breeding can be enabled via ini.

Hesperonis
  • Now gains more affinity per fish
  • Tamed will drop eggs/golden eggs at the same rate as wild counterparts

Hyaenodon
  • Wild hyaenodons no longer aggro as much when a crouched player is trying to pet them, have better taming effectiveness, and now properly receive a 2x taming boost that they did not get when the base taming rase increased globally (resulting in them being twice as hard to tame as intended compared to other creatures).

Ichthyosaurus
  • Wild will no longer flee from the player

Karkinos
Disabled by default
  • Can grab water dinos and flyers. This only works with the right claw. Water dinos grabbed and moved out of the water will instantly die.

  • Reverted drag weight to 350

Mosasaurus
  • Adjusted rotation rate when ridden to be less terrible

Noglin
  • Wild Noglins no longer delete themselves on restarts (this will also make them visible in map save viewers like Larkator as they should serialize properly now)

Piranha
  • Tamed Piranha will no longer be insta-killed by Ichthyornis/Hesperonis, have drag weight increased to 33.0, have their unused eating animation, can gain XP and level up, and should be less likely to "suicide" by wandering out of water. They can also receive buffs.
  • Gendered, breeding can be enabled via ini.
  • Can be cloned and has valid mutagen cost

Procoptodon
  • Increased impulse from secondary kick attack
  • Removed fall damage
  • Reverted drag weight to 110
Mod Changes (2)

  • Will now stay in larval form when cryopodded/ect.

Sabertooth
  • Increased jump height

Sabertooth Salmon

  • Can now receive buffs
  • Can be picked up by players
  • Can gain XP and level up
  • Gendered, breeding can be enabled via ini.
  • Can be cloned and has valid mutagen cost

Unicorn
  • Now has colorization, with custom color set

Zombie Wyvern
These changes only apply to the vanilla zombie wyverns obtained from the Fear Evolved event and will have no effect on modded versions.
  • Fixed flying offset (should no longer clip into the ground when flying low)

Other
  • Tek Trike & Tek Giganotosaurus are set to randomly spawn in place of the normal version like other Tek Dinos. They are also referenced in base memory to prevent these creatures from being deleted on restarts.
  • In addition to the other creatures with drag weight changes, Kaprosuchus and Gallimus have had their drag weights reverted to normal (120, and 125 respectively)
  • Fixed a bug that caused around half of the spawned creatures inside the volcano on Genesis to be untameable due to the spawner, with the other half being normally tameable. (All are tameable now)

Base memory additions (prevents dermises of these creatures breaking when transferred to other maps, also prevents any existing tamed versions from despawning on restarts where applicable)
  • Tek Trike & Tek Giga
  • Moeder, Master of the Ocean (all difficulties)
  • Eel Minion (all difficulties)
  • Rare Lunar Salmon
  • Alpha Crystal Wyvern

Allows the Karkinos to carry water dinos/flyers. This only works with the right claw; I cannot fix this without remaps. Disabled by default due to potential abuse.
False
FixGenesisSpawnerColors=
Applies the biome colorsets to the (non-x/gen native) creatures missing them on Genesis 1 (eg. Hesperonis, Mesopithecus, Carbonemys). Only affects wild Genesis 1 spawned creatures, other maps remain untouched. Not retroactive - may require wild dino wipe for the correct colors to show up quickly.

Enable Breeding Config
Using this config will allow vanilla versions of the creature to breed normally. No modded creatures will be affected, and each creature must be specified.

This method does not have the unusual side effects of the S+ mutator and similar derivatives. Creatures should behave exactly as if the vanilla version was allowed. This means no hatching as adults, no weird imprinting settings, ect. Exception is the fishbasket tames having the issue noted below.

Unfortunately a bug exists with the Coelacanth, Salmon, Trilobite, Leech, Lamprey, and Piranha that makes them spawn their fertilized eggs at their initial location and not their current one on dedicated servers. For now this seems unfixable on my end as the variable that causes this can't be edited on runtime - the solution would be to just cryopod/fishbasket/whatever and then release them in the spot you plan to breed them at after taming. Server restart also works, but if you get leech eggs halfway across your base don't come asking me to fix it. For creatures like Trilobites which can leave water but lay eggs that need to stay underwater, this means that releasing them on land then moving them into the water will result in no actual egg produced (as it spawns on land and is destroyed).

EnableBreeding=

Options are an array of tags with a comma separating entries.
Example:
EnableBreeding=Astrocetus,Basilisk,RockDrake

This would make the Astrocetus, Basilisk, and Rock Drake breedable.

Currently available options

  • Astrocetus
  • Basilisk
  • Coelacanth (Ovoviviparous, does NOT lay eggs)
  • DungBeetle
  • Fenrir (WIP, available next update)
  • Griffin
  • Karkinos (probably will be adjusted later)
  • Lamprey
  • Leech
  • Piranha
  • Salmon
  • RareSalmon
  • Titanoboa
  • Trilobite (also going to be adjusted later)

Options are not case sensitive but must be spelled correctly with no spaces.
If your question starts with "can you add..."
The following will not be considered due to either technical reasons, hassle, or just not wanting to.
  • Anything that would add new creatures, items, equipment, ect. This is a buff mod, not a dino variant/generic OP item mod.
  • Anything involving new models/animations/textures. This bloats mod filesize and i'm not an artist/animator.
  • Making things able to climb walls, use ziplines, glide through the air, dive while flying, ect. Can't be done with buffs.
  • Modifying base stats (Turns into a balance issue very fast and is generally a mess)
  • Adding new attacks or abilities to a creature
  • Fixing bugs involving a creature's internal coding (eg. Ferox transformation bugs)
  • Removing or adjusting special abilities on creatures
  • Making Giant Bees, Titanosaurs, Titans, Reaper Kings, Meks, Scouts, Cruise Missiles, Rafts, ATVs, Skiffs, Stryders, Hoversails, or Exo Meks breedable. I don't care if the S+ Mutator works on them, i'm not dealing with it.
  • Most things relating/already covered by creatures from No Untameables. It's redundant and not really necessary on vanilla versions of the creature since they can't be tamed.
  • Making untameable variant creatures (eg. alphas, corrupted) tameable. Non-variants are covered by NU.
  • Anything relating to bosses
  • Modifications to creatures from other mods (including remapped dinos). It's possible for other modders to add their own compatibility for default buff-based mods but nothing I can do on my end that isn't a mess.
