Description
A mod to make Egypt stronger.

Double alliance points from trade routes has been increased to triple.
+15% production to wonders and districts on rivers has been increased to +30%.
Maryannu chariot archer movement has been increased from 2 base/2 bonus from flat terrain up to 3 base/1 bonus from flat terrain (making the unit generally faster).
Also added a +1 food bonus from farms on floodplains.

someone needs to figure out a way to make the later game military more interesting for countries like egypt. my idea is use a stat system from start to finish and allow you to develop your country and military. and if thats work able could also allow you to design your country and its buildings and military units based on stats and on development options. maybe how long the spear is, style and strength of your armor, then later on the style of tanks, and since tanks upgrade way more than in real life than in the game have tanks get mini upgrades and the option of redesign... ok seriously hoping someone who can do this reads my idea. i have a few ideas i would like to work on if someone could show me what to do or work with me on it

you may want to look at the coding of this mod:

it gives Egypt a +2 production bonus on floodplains.

Right now, I edited out the food bonus from your mod, and I am running it with the other mod. The mods seem compatible (additive).

I think it has to do with the ETEMENANKI wonder, which is built on floodplains. Nothing in the Portugal civilization file mentions "flood" or "food".

By process of elimination, I have determined that Portugal Pack is causing this mod to flip the farm bonus.

With all available official content loaded this mod results in farms on floodplains gaining +1 food, and farms NOT on floodplains gaining +2 food.

If you disable all official content, except for gathering storm and rise and fall, farms on floodplains gain +2 food, and farms NOT on floodplains gain +1 food. (So, what this mod tries to do.)

Something in official DLC content is flipping the floodplain farm bonus over to non-floodplains.

(The other parts of this mod work fine, regardless of DLC.)

I'll have to try this to see if it helps enough. Currently I only put Egypt in as a computer player when I want a weak civ in that slot. I'm not sure the trade route thing ever comes up with AIs - if you buff your border city with every great merchant that increases gold, they still won't send a route. But making the chariot archers competitive with Nubia's archers will help a lot, and making floodplains better will too.
