===== Map Introduction and Origin =====

Hey guys, my name is Ban Dell, and welcome back to the Dead Mansion series. This old, vintage clock factory was opened in 19XX, and… it is just fantastic. All the vintage woodwork, the classic workshop spaces, and this gorgeous, giant, functional clock that serves as a doorway to the building. And it even still works! Let's go see the courtyard…

===== Map Details Summary =====

This place looks unfinished… wonder why the builders never finished it.

Map features included:
- Most of the aboveground levels are intact…
- The barricade out front still has power and works, kind of.
- The clock gates still function, though are haunted by a pink spirit…?
- The elevators still function, but require manual operation of a crank.
- There's some mechanisms deeper in the facility that still seem to work.
- The bell in the tower still rings out beautifully.
- The clock on the roof seems to operate still, but moves on a faster timescale than normal--one hour of real time is half an hour on the clock. Susceptible to pauses.
- Sometimes the gears stacked inside look weird.

Imagine if someone came here and refurbished this place, finished it up… what a fantasy.

- Not all of my maps adhere to 100% style accuracy, if you wanted that then my Equestria Girls maps are where to go.
- There are no displacements in this map, and as well, I didn't know how to do them well when I made this. (For reference, my first published instance of a displacement is in IT'S HIGH NOON - the railway experience , as the coal in the coal car) The greater exterior of the map was also harder to scope, as you really only see it in the low-poly model on the screen in Shocked Exclamation Scientist 's lab.
- Oh yeah, I did omit the Clockmaker's Chamber, didn't I. Huh.

- The clock puzzles are a little buggy, but I do appreciate your appreciation of the functionality I added! Adds more fun to the experience. I love gimmicks in a map.

Now, the good stuff...
Though the texturing could've been better, the brushwork itself was utterly fantastic. However, the best part of this map HAS to be the included functionality! I love that you included the fan in the Drafting Office, the bomb dispenser in the Container Yard, the front door's clock puzzle (despite the fact I couldn't get it to open), and, of course, the crown jewel... The clock will occasionally chime! THAT is cool.

Like I said, a solid map overall. I'd be excited to hear if you ever got around to updating/finishing it, but if not, what we have is still neat

Pretty well done; I do have some criticisms.
-The map's textures are all default HL2 and haven't been scaled particularly well. Not a huge deal; a tip of mine to capture the more "solid" feel for certain brushes is to pick a texture of the correct color, then scale it to like, 1000 or something to get a solid color (if I don't want to import a custom texture).

-The outside landscape is very bizarre; understandable, as displacements can be tricky to make

-The Clockmaker's Chambers have been omitted from the second floor. In the front entrance (the Warehouse), right after the player enters, there's an elevated walkway directly in front of them with a door. The clockmaker's chambers should be behind that door, THEN the roundhouse.

Dark Moon was by far my favorite 3DS game. I had started assembling all of the in-game model pieces of the Gloomy Manor to try and port it all as a Gmod map, but I had no idea what I was doing so I gave up on it

I miss Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Luigi's Mansion 3 was also really good but so was LMDM
