Weapon Types
Currently there are 4 types of Weapons
Each has skill for that is unlocked at 15 and can be obtained at different rarities similar to weapons.

Bow (crit chance)
I personally think the bow is really nice as you can attack things from range and kite things.
This skill allows you to knock back the enemy and deal a bit more damage, which is definitely nice if you want to save up on health potions, and kite even better. Currently Single Target

Sword (health)
I used to think the sword wasnt that great, but the extra health it grants makes it a lot safer to attack things without having to worry about your hp bar. The skill definitely makes this even better as it is a lifesteal type ability that lets you regain some hp and deal a bit more damage. Balancing this with your potions and running makes it hard to die if you tried.

Hammer (damage)
Big damage, big splash.
The skill lets u hit things HARD. definitely good if you just want to shred things up.

Staff (damage)
The staff is similar to the bow, but with a more consistent power bonus. Currently single target.

The developer said they are currently working on a tamer class atm, so we will have to stay tuned until then for more options.
Obtaining Weapons and making them stronger
Currently, the only way to get weapons is from:
The store via purchase
Mob Drops
Starting Weapons

To be frank, The best weapons are via Mob drops.
There are several rarities for weapons from Mob Drops, while the store only sells common equipment.
Additionally, weapons from mobs can drop with awakenings and already upgraded.

While grinding levels in one skill, make sure to keep high rarity weapons of other types if you think you will ever want to level those up later.
I suggest trying to get 2 of each max rarity.

Rarity

For Reference, There are 4 Rarities Atm, where higher rarity means you do more damage.

Common Weapons - Grey/black.
You can get these in the shop at any time.

Uncommon Weapons - Green
Mob Drop only

Rare Weapons - Blue
Mob Drop only

Legendary Weapons- Purple
Boss drop only (very low drop chance)
Note that these weapons give a 3% bonus to a secondary stat(Crit chance/health/attack)
update: now drop at 0.25% rate from normal mobs. These drops however do not have a secondary stat bonus

Weapon Stages- Higher level requirement means more damage
Note: the level requirements are based off of weapon level, not character level.

Wooden Weapons- Require Level 1
can be bought in shop
Starting Equipment. You begin with one of each type of weapon.
Beginning Mobs drop(wolves)

Iron Weapons - Require Level 8.
Can be bought in shop

Bandit Weapons - Require Level 15
Bandit Area Mobs Drop
Can be bought in Shop

Warrior Weapons- Require Level 22
Minotaur/Boar Mobs Drop
Can be bought in shop

Boar Bone Weapons - Require Level 25
Boar Boss Drop only

Nobleman Weapons - Require Level 30
Crab Area Mob Drop only

Antique Weapons - Require Level 37
Raptor Area Mob Drop only

Awakening

Earlier I said to get at least 2 of each rarity right?
I suggest you do this so u can awaken both, Use the better one and try to upgrade the other.
This way you don't get stuck with a bad weapon due to bad awakenings if you run out of money on trying to get the best weapon.
Right now Only weapons can be enchanted.

When you awaken a weapon, you must spend gold, where higher the weapon stage, the more it costs. You can enchant a weapon as much as you like, but be careful to not accidentally awaken the wrong thing and get rid of your good stats

You can go from
0 to 25 atk
0 to +10% crit chance
0 to +100 health
All three of these are "rolled" together when u enchant and this starts to sink money fast when
you want all 3 to be really nice on higher stage weapons.
It should be noted, The roll determines if you get 1, 2 or 3 stats, and then rolls for each stat.

Weapon levels go up differently than your character level.
Lets say you max your sword Level. You might do that just fine, but if you try to level up your other weapons, you need to use the weakest level sword.
Note: I believe you also can't get drops from anything 10 levels higher.

Upgrades
Upgrades are what makes your weapon glow at the moment.
They also increase your damage significantly.
The higher the upgrade, the less chance there is.
Don't worry though, the % increase at later levels is smaller than the first few levels.
You don't need to max anything if you want to beat content.
Upgrading you weapon can be done in Town for gold. Similar to awakening your weapon, the stronger the weapon you want to upgrade, the more gold it is to try upgrading. Prepare your gold wallet, its going to empty out fast.

Note: Upgrading and getting awakenings aren't truly necessary at early levels. There's a good chance you will get a better weapon dropped from mobs at the moment.
Mobs can drop equipment with a random awakening and up to +4 upgrade. (Legendary weapons are an exception to this). Upgrading or awakening your weapon can be expensive, so if you can find a decent weapon, I'd recommend using that during earlier levels.
Later on, once you get lvl 22 weapons or above, id recommend to try finding a good base weapon to start making stronger. Of course this is just a recommendation, and can completely be ignored.
I just thought it would be worth noting this since it would be a shame to upgrade or awaken a weapon a lot early on and just have to move to a new one upon advancing to the next weapon level.
Update: Nobleman weapons do output more damage but don't give a secondary % increase. Choose to upgrade as you deem fit.

Weapon Skill Levels go up to 35 atm. Note that each weapon type has a 1 skill they can currently equip at level 15 (if they obtain one from a monster drop) when using that weapon type, But ill talk about that in a different section.
Effective Leveling Strategy?
Leveling in this game can be slow later on, so here are a few tips to level faster. Mind you, these are basics i think you would probably already know or pick up on, i still thought it was worth mentioning.

Aggro
Lets talk about this first, Monsters for the most part have a small aggro range and will only follow you for so long unless you re-provoke them by running past them or hitting them again. And yes, running past/through monsters is possible(though u can take damage if your not careful).
In the v0,714 Patch. mobs will attack regardless of range if their attack animation comes out. This means running away on a horse will still result in them hitting you

The known Monsters with a lot bigger aggro range is the boss levels more elite boars.( provoking several at once can be dangerous because they follow you for quite a while and are tanky with good damage.

WARNING: mobs of higher level will deal an absurd level of damage to you due to the v0.714 update. Their damage will start multiplying I believe at more than 2 levels of difference. This means they can basically one shot you. The impact of this has indirectly made death punishment harsher and grinding mobs a lot slower. Remember that Crits multiply damage by 1.5x, which means if you can almost tank 1 hit, a crit will randomly kill you at some point unless you block it. Farming Level 3 is no longer as viable as before and needs a lot more care. Party members will make things simpler.

Farming level 1
Just walk up and hit monsters and go from monster to monster.
While this certainly works, you don't take advantage of splash mechanics
If you can handle extra damage on you and kill things fast, its better to try a higher level of farming

Farming level 2
Find a group of monsters you can handle that are roughly close to each other. You can run through them (or hit them from range if you have a bow. maybe using your skill, but that is preference) and make them all line up at once in a cluster and then hit several at once. Depending on your weapon, you do varying degrees of splash due to the angle and can hit several at once. Using this might take potions if you cant keep your health up.

Farming level 3
At this point you go around and grab all the mobs you can see, maybe you even ask friends to help out. Get them all bunched up is a challenge, but can be fun. This is mostly recommended for characters with really good equipment and high level. Retain aggro by circling back every once in a while, or they will leave.

Note: Mounts are now in the game. A mount can be an expensive purchase to new players, but it will drastically save the time you spend and make it a lot easier to reach mobs, especially when using the later 2 grinding strategies.

As you have later levels in your weapons, the second level of farming will prove to be more efficient than the first by far. Though i do think bow excels in speed at level 1 due to its range.
The hammer and sword have a decent amount of splash damage, so level 2 can be very effective for them. Not that the bow is bad at level 2, rather its just really useful due to its range, so it makes level 1 not so bad.

Update: Groups are now a thing. Leveling in a group grants extra experience as well as gold if your close to your group members. As with the v0,714 update, mobs are a lot stronger when above your level by a lot. Being in a team can help defeat these mobs, and i believe it is well worth the split experience and gold.
Other equipment
Currently you can also equip Rings, bolstering a selected stat.
They share the same rarities as weapons, but can not be enchanted.
Rings cannot be bought in the shop, and also have the same stages as weapons(i believe)
You can equip 2 of these at once, and they can be the same type or different types.

Be sure to get the rings you want for you ideal build to help farm or take on the boss.

Clothes and Hats
Clothes now have stats on them based off rarity.
Share same rarities as weapons
They get a type of defense or armor that is randomized on pick up. Better the drop, the higher chance of defense values you can get.

Hats and Clothes Have different stages as weapons

Leather/
can be bought in shop(but these currently have no stats)
Mob drops will give you basically no defense. even rare ones basically give you nothing

Squire
mob drop only

Nobleman
mob drop only

There are 3 different types of clothes
Shoes, Pants, Torso, and Hat

Hats are not available in the shop.

Shields are also a piece of equipment. they can't be equipped with anything but a sword. They provide a decent amount of armor.
Shields are available at level 10, 20, 30, and 40
Potions
Your probably going to want to buy these and have some in your hot bar to use them instantly.
They are only available in the shop and have 2 types at the moment

Medium Potions
500 hp

Small potions
150 hp

They come in stacks of 100. so they are worth it generally, especially at later levels.

When I'm grinding i usually have 1 medium potion in my hot bar.

I also usually carry 1 extra in my inventory so i don't have to go back to buy more when I'm leveling.
Skills, Their uses, and My thoughts on them.
Skills have been in the game for a while, but have been revamped a bit.

General skills can be bought in town for gold from the librarian.
These skills are generally worth it, especially early on.
Skills have cool downs, but can be used Forever

Currently there are 4 general skills right now.

Evasive Roll (Lvl 1 required) 250 gold
Really useful and cheap skill. Get it.
Creates space between you and the enemies and grants you time to get other skills or potions off cool down.
Its also worth noting that you are invincible during the roll animation.
The v0,714 update has nerfed this skill indirectly. this is more of a distancing tool now. Be careful, as attack animation of a mob = you take damage if your not blocking. so if you finish a roll, you can still take damage.

Incredible Focus (Lvl 3 required) 1,500 gold
Increases your crit rate by 30% for 10 seconds.
This increases dps significantly as long as you can hit your attacks.
Animation can take a bit, so maybe use it not during the fight but before you aggro the mobs.
Not much else needs to be said.

Stunning Attack (Lvl 7 required) 7,500 gold
This is very useful. I'd rate this as useful as Evasive Roll personally.
The skill stuns the enemy, which means your other skills have more time to come off cooldown.
Additionally, it lets you attack the opponent while they cant hurt you. Seems great to me.
Can affect all the enemies you hit with your first attack.
The v0,714 update has made this skill as important as ever. You always want to use. Its indispensable.

Wild fire (Lvl 9 required) 15,000 gold
An interesting skill that does DoT(duration over time) damage.
This skill lasts for 7 seconds.
Affects all enemies standing in it based off your damage stat. That being said, it scales as you get more damage or attack.
This skill is nice for high level grinding where you can withstand a few hits and can afford to stay in place.
For other players, it may only server as some temporary damage while they attempt to kite the enemy and move constantly.
If anything. This skill has a very rewarding positive to it. As long as enemies are in its range, No attacks miss.
Oddly enough though, if you die, even if your skill is still active, it will no longer do damage.

Weapon based Skills

Aimed Stab (Lvl 15 Sword) 30,000 gold
Increased damage, fast hit. It also heals you a bit. Generally good Damage.
Even if you miss, it heals you. Weird, but good right?

Powerful Strike(Lvl 15 Hammer) 30,000 gold
A powerful hit with decent range.
Allows for currently the strongest hit in the game.

Balancing Arrow(Lvl 15 Bow) 30,000 gold
A powerful kiting tool. Does increased damage and knocks enemies hit by it back.
Very important part of a player's kit if they want to not get hit.
Basically a different version of evasive roll, except the enemies are pushed back.
I believe it can miss though, so it has its downsides.

Freezing Missile(Lvl 15 Staff) 15,000 gold
Stuns and freezes an enemy.

Blocking, Sprinting and Staminia (and Horses)
Stamina
It recovers over time.
There is a stamina bar at the bottom of your screen.
When your stamina is lower than the indicator on the right side of your stamina bar, you cannot do anything requiring stamina until it refills.

Blocking
Players can block. The default should be right mouse button.
Blocking an attack reduces your stamina, but prevents you from taking damage.
Time your blocks carefully.

Sprinting
As you sprint, your stamina goes down.
Not much else to say.

Horses
Horses can be bought in the town from the NPC Cederic.
Horses let you go faster and sprint longer.
Get a horse. Profit.
The better your horse, the better it will be speed and stamina wise.

There are 4 types of horses.
2 Require gold, 2 require owl coins.
Even the worst horse is definitely worth as is makes everything better and faster.

The prices for each horse are:
Brown Horse: 100,000 gold
Black Horse: 2,500,000 gold
Palomino Horse: 500 owl coins
Warhorse: 1,000 owl coins
Party System
You can now make a Party with other players.
Press E next to other players to send a request.
A member of your party should have a green name above their head. You will also have a green name.
To see members of your party, or leave it, hit P. to leave the party, hit the X button near your name.

Limitations
Only up to 4 members in a party.
You can't kick people from a party. You have to leave and remake a new party with members.
Your gold and Experience points are split between the party members. So, more members you have, less xp you get from killing a single mob.
If you party member is over 9 levels above you (based off the weapons you have out)you don't get any rewards from them killing stuff while in your party.

Advantages
Party doesn't go away on logout. You can leave one at any time as well.
You can team up to defeat stronger foes and play with your friends.
While in a party, you get an additional 25% xp and gold on top of the split amount.
(Example: if this is a party of 2. you both get 50% from one mob, and then each of you get 25% extra of that 50%).
This means if you grind mobs effectively and take down foes, you do benefit from teaming up.

Possible Oversights or tricks
You get weapon level xp from a party member killing a mob. This means you can level up new weapons very fast by getting the help of a friend.
Character Creation
Yes, this game has character creation now.
I'll give a rough overview of it, since it think its worth mentioning.
As of now, there is no way to reset this, so be careful

Male/Female

15 hair styles for males? 17 for female?
