"Battle of Mafaraz" [SP/COOP 1-3]

The civil war in Takistan is in its 5th year of hostilities. The Jabhat Tahrir Takistani Almutahida (United Takistani Liberation Front) has been losing its strength in the northern provinces, where the majoritiy of the civilian population has stayed loyal to the government, losing control of the towns of Arobster and Kala-e-Noowi. Against all odds, Takistani government's forces are having the upper hand in the conflict, mostly after the deployment of Russian ground forces in the Northern Orgal and Zargabad provinces, after two years of bombing missions launched from Russian soil.

Now, Russian and Takistani forces, in a joint operation, plan to launch an offensive against the rebels in the mountainous parts of the Northern Orgal province, specially in the valley of Abi.

A section of the Russian VDV from the 9th Company, 137th Guards Airborne Regiment, is preparing for an assault on the rebel-held town of Mafaraz, in the bifurcation of the valley of Abi, with the support of elements of the Takistani 6th Airborne Brigade and the 5th Air Wing of the Takistani Air Force. The enemy forces are holding in the town a force of between 30 and 40 armed subjects and a few armored vehicles.

You take the role of a sergeant leading one of the VDV squads, codenamed 'Yastreb', attacking from the north of the town, while the Takistani government's forces make their move from the northeast. You will have the possibility of using a Pchela-1T UAV to order air strikes on the enemy positions.
