Improved Granary

In 1 collection by thecrazyscotsman
New and Enhanced Buildings
14 items
Description
Alternate download here[www.thesewall.com].

This updates the Granary by adding +5% growth in city and +25 city hp. For balance reasons, it removes the yield changes for wheat/bananas/deer.

The Granary now provides:
+2 Food
+5% Growth
+25 City HP

This is designed to more accurately reflect the role of the Granary in helping a city store food and survive sieges.

If used along with my "Improved Caravansary" mod, be sure to load Improved Granary LAST.

Q. I'm having a problem, can you help troubleshoot?
A. Please follow the steps on this page[forums.civfanatics.com]to troubleshoot. Additionally, please enable logging to provide more details on what problem you are having if you cannot fix it by following those steps.

Q. How do I enable logging?
A. Open the config file located here: C:\Users\x\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5. Search for "Enable the logging system" and set it to "1". Logs will be located at C:\Users\x\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Logs -- "Database" is one of the first logs you should check.

Q. Does this conflict with any mods?
A. These mods do not have any known conflicts unless you are using another mod which adds a building of the same name. It will also conflict with any mod which removes any of the prerequisite technologies.

A.All DLC packs are optional. Main versions of the game are below:
  • BNW - compatible
  • G&K - compatible
  • Vanilla - compatible

A. No, unfortunately.

Q. Can I use your mod in mine?
A. Yes! You don't even have to ask. Please just include me in your credits.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do you set the order at which mods are loaded into the game? Is it by how they are listed in the mods menu in-game?

Thanks! Further on down the line I'll make some compatibility packs.

Mod Civ UB’s:
Kingdom of Hungary—JFD—Vegvar (Castle)
Nazca Civilization—Leugi—Puquios (Water Mill)
The Garamantes—Tomatekh—Aghrem (Granary)
Phoenician Empire (LastSword Set III)—LastSword aka Walking Brazil—Sea Market (Lighthouse)
Kingdom of Nepal (LastSword Set IV)—LastSword—Rice Terrace (Granary)
Kingdom of Zimbabwe (LastSword Set V)—LastSword—Zimbabwe (Castle)
Hittite Empire (LastSword Set VII)—LastSword—Royal Barracks (Barracks)
Kingdom of Numidia (LastSword Set VII)—LastSword—Mercenary Camp (Barracks)
Gallia Tribes (LastSword Set IX)—LastSword—Oppidum (Walls)
Qin Empire (LastSword Set IX)—LastSword—War Academy (Barracks)

And why not upgrade the Walls of Babylon with your Military Buildings btw?

Thanks for all the great modding!

@orlu_ - that'd be very helpful if you're willing to do that!
Rough 20 Feb, 2014 @ 7:05am
yeah I'll be happy to try and compile a list of UB's that are affected by your building mods from the most popular authors: Tomatekh, JFD, Leugi, Pouakai, LastSword...I think that covers most of the good ones.

@orlu_ - that's definitely something I'll look into a little down the road. Both of the examples you mentioned have some amazing civilization additions. My plan right now is to finish up just creating some of the additional building packs/content that I have planned before tackling anything else, though.

Would you consider making this and a few other of your (great) building mods compatible with some of the most popular mod civs (Tomatekh's, JFD's etc)? I know there are some unique granaries and barracks scattered through the world of good modded civs.
thecrazyscotsman  [author] 17 Feb, 2014 @ 6:42pm
@DaPayn - after taking a closer look at the code, it actually looks like this should be compatible with every version of the game. So, give it a try!
thecrazyscotsman  [author] 16 Feb, 2014 @ 3:32pm
@DaPayn - as it does not remove the ability to move food between cities (i.e. a trade route), it is only compatible with BNW. Sorry :/
