Simple Ship Sections Expansion [V1.0]

This my own little version of a simple ship section extension.

My main goal was to add as few sections as possible that add as much variety as possible.

Currently there are 2 additional corvette sections, 3 destroyer sections, 3 cruiser sections and 3 battleship sections.

Compatibility:

No vanilla files are overwritten or modified.

It should be perfectly savegame save, removal mid-game should be save

This mod should be compatible with other mods as long as they don't fundamentally change how ships/sections work (NSC for example)

As long as Paradox doesn't change how ships/sections work it should work just fine with later game versions than the current one (2.7.2).

Corvette Sections:

Raider: 1 medium weapon, 1 small weapon --- 3 small utillity slots, 1 aux. utility slot

Escort: 1 small weapon, 2 point-defense weapons --- 3 small utillity slots, 1 aux. utility slot

Destroyer Sections:

Torpedo Bow: 1 guided weapon, 2 small weapons --- 6 small utility slots

Landing Pad Bow: 1 hangar slot --- 6 small utillity slots

Cruiser Sections:

Escort Bow: 1 medium weapon, 1 small weapon, 1 point-defense weapon --- 4 medium utility slots

Standoff Core: 1 large weapon, 1 guided weapon --- 4 medium utility slots

Issues/Bugs:

Some shipsets (anthropoid and molluscoid as far as I can tell) have a different enough turret layout to the rest, that the "Escort Corvette" and "Hangar Torpedo Core" sections end up having a assymetrical turret layout.

Disclaimer:

This is a very simple mod and there are many similar to it, so I consider this mod open source.
So, if you need a reference or headstar into a little modding yourself, go ahead and goof luck ;) ...

Oho! I didn't notice. That does make more sense, although I can't think why I'd use picket now.

Nope, the Picket has 2 small weapon slots and 1 point defense weapon slot, the Escort has 2 point defense weapons slots and 1 small weapon slot, small difference ;)

Isn't the Escort corvette the same as the vanilla Picket corvette? Is there a reason for that?

I decided against adding more stern sections to keep the amount of basically redundant sections at a minimum (mainly to prevent my OCD-like tendency to build absolutely every single possible section combination there is in the game from driving me insane xD) but if i am done with my current project i might add them in an upda

Confirming this works with Machine Shipset...... Award-worthy mod.... Now if I can ask, any chance for giving sterns some love? Cruiser stern could use a PDC and missile sections and BBs would be amazing with strapping even more torpedoes to them.

It is not as NSC changes classes quite drastically, might be compatible with the streamlined version though ... haven't tested that.

I'm a bit confused, is NSC a mod that is compatible or isn't compatible? the wording you used is a bit strange to me.
