You do not need the new equipment for the achievement. I followed this list post update and got the one for armors. Should work for other categories too.

Guard Boots and Golden Boots are probably mixed up. If memory serves you can only find Guard Boots in Giantwood.

In light of the 2/3/2021 Updated, I'd like to suggest that you change the Weapon categories to be a little more 'All-encompassing' since a lot of the new weapons wouldn't exactly be classified as swords, Daggers Axes, etc. but they all follow the same basic principal in how Leila Weilds them.

Swords -> 1 Handed Weapons
"Axes" - > 2 Handed Weapons
Daggers -> Dual Wield

Bows can remain as is.

Yeah the February 3rd update added a lot of equipment and changed some as well. I haven't gotten back into the game yet, feel free to point out any corrections/additions in the meantime.

No problem some labels were in fact subjective calls, my main aim was to produce a checklist and the general area they were found in so people could easily hunt down missing items on demajen's maps instead of spending many minutes scanning them in the hopes of spotting something missed.

Sorry about that, essentially I recently got and binged this game. Used search engine results for specific items without properly checking the rest of the guide and was fooled by loading zones labeled on the map. My bad.
