Introduction
First off, I only use the title "How to make the most power Beam" to get views (shameless I know) However if I had named it "How to make in my opinion a really power Beam" It's not only too wordy but also uninteresting.

I have used this gun with a lot of success, and since I see so little use of this setup in game I figured I would make a guide.

This isn't your standard beam, making a guide on that would be like reinventing the wheel... This beam is a single shot medium to long ranger gun that in my opinion, beats out a rifle with a similar set up in consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
Build
Body

Beam (did you even read the title?)

Stock

Standard. This sonovabitch already has 100% hip and aim accuracy eliminating the need to change anything here.

Scope

Recon. This is mostly preference. I find it much easier to aim at a fast moving target from far away when I have less zoom. This is more or less up to you though. Also, why kill your peripherals if you don't have to?

Barrel

Sniper. For damage and range!

Trigger

Semi-Auto. For damage and to preserve heat, making a more efficient killing machine.

Cooling

Heatsync. More shots before you overheat. This is really important if you want to kill more than one enemy. Yes there is a 2 dps from standard, however it makes it so you can kill 1 more enemy without having to wait for heat. Also, using body shots only it takes 5 shots to drop a target from full with both Standard and Heatsync.

Payload

Slug. Because it does the most upfront damage. Remember Slugs do more instant damage, letting you know exactly how many times you have to shoot the person before you know they are dead. Whereas Fire ammo might do more damage overtime, but die slower than if you just used slugs.

Science (Why this is good!)
So I ran a few tests against a similar rifle build with the rifle having a shell-loading magazine. What I found was that it takes 3 body shots to drop a target with the rifle. With this beam it took 5. Now I know what your thinking, but let me dig my hole further by saying that to kill 2 enemies (body shots only) it took the rifle it took 5.8s. It took this beam 6.3 seconds. Now I know what your saying...

"Why not just use the rifle Proto?"

"Why are you wasting our time!?"

Always with the questions! You should use this for a few good reasons.

1. Better accuracy. With the beam you have 100% hip and aim accuracy. The rifle gives you around 85% scope accuracy and 0% hip accuracy. Simply put, considering the travel time of both weapons is the same, you have a much better chance to hit with this weapon scoped, and you have just as good a chance if you get to close and you need to hip fire it. EFFICIENCY!

2. More shots before reloading. This gun can kill 4 enemies from full health without overheating. There is a trick to this though, you have to hold "R" while you fire it so that it constantly cools down. The rifle can do 3 enemies before needing to reload, and it reloads slower. Believe it or not, you will miss shots. This gun will punish you FAR less for a miss than its rifle cousin.

3.EFFICIENCY! Expanding on point 2. The beam took 12.5s to down 4 enemies from full hp. This was because it did not need to reload. The rifle took a sluggish 15.2s to do the same thing, because you have to reload it.

Repeating this because it's important!

HOLD R WHILE FIRING

This will allow you to fire more times before overheating.
Your Lightspeed ♥♥♥♥ Deliverer is ready!
Final thoughts
I use this weapon in almost every game mode and do great with it. This beam is very versatile and will serve you very well if used right. This thing is also cheap as hell to make, so that's a plus.

This gun pairs well with a high speed short range gun.

I just do happen to have made a guide for a pretty damn good one too:

@Yuzu They may have patched it out, sorry this guide was made after my time in beta and just around release, it might be dated...

@Proto Very well said to that Radeon guy. I take your side completely. both guides are completely different. Just wanted to say thanks for the guide. And love your gun name! : p

I like how the semi auto works way more on the beam, but only with this sniper type build (does more dmg if you're farther away, and up close I'd rather spray and smack someone). It says it takes a big dmg drop, but just test it on the range. I call mine "The Stink Wink" and this set up makes a pretty awesome turret if you use those

Why do you use Heatsink and Semi-Auto?
Haaribo 25 Apr, 2014 @ 12:58pm
personally i like full auto for that dmg

still think standard cooling is better for good aim players cause it takes less shots to kill but doesn't overheats as fast as liquid cooling

@Lone_Pickle Aww, thank you :3
