HELLO WARRIORS

I've heard the request from many people that they just want to know what Rift Runs are. Well if you're not too keen on checking them out for yourself before you know about them, this guide is for you.

First off, head to the Play screen and click Draft. You've got two options, Practice and Rift Run. Practice is just a free drafting practice mode against bots for you to see how to build a draft deck.

When you click Rift Run, here's the screen you're shown.

Once you select your payment method, you're brought to the commander pick to start drafting your deck.

Once you pick your commanders, you'll start drafting 40 cards for your deck.

Once you have finished drafting your deck, you'll sit in the main Rift Run lobby.

Once you start your run, you have 3 lives and there's no win cap. You play as many games as you can until you have lost 3 times. Abandoning the run won't "Cash you out" it just closes your run and everything goes away. If there's a big enough push for a cash out option, post it in the suggestions board on discussions. We'll be happy to listen.

Once you have lost 3 times you'll see this screen:

This is where you'll claim your rewards. Rewards can be IP and Cards. You'll break even with your IP entry of 1k at around 4-5 wins. Every win after that is more IP and the chance at rarer cards in the rewards.

This is what your rewards look like before you open them:

Once you've claimed your rewards you are presented with the option to purchase the deck you've drafted. Now future formats of drafting such as the classic ones like pod and sealed obviously will have more traditional rules, but for this one it's more about the rewards.

Each game you play in the Rift Run decreases the cost of the deck by 1k IP and an equivalent amount of LP.

Once you claim everything and go through the ending phases you can select whether or not you'd like to start a new run. There is no limit to how many you can play, and the Leaderboards will only take your highest score.

I hope this helps everyone! Post questions if you have them.

In other game in the draft you play against people with similar run than you (e.g. if you are currently 8-1 you will play against an 8-1 or 8-2 or 9-1…etc.) does this happened here?

Well, might be nice to know what the starting price of the deck is, if i want to buy it after let's say 0 wins and 3 losses. If it's like 50k, there is no real point to buy it at all, unless you've got some uber-legendary cards in it.

How much is it to buy the deck you draft? I want to be prepared before I jump in and find out I don't have enough if it was a decent deck.

Practice Runs don't count.
