⋆ Before you go berserker on me for not recommending your favorite gun, sidearm and gadget in the guide, please do know that this is only my opinion and it will differ from yours.

⋆ I am an amateur and this was made just for sharing my knowledge and helping new players improve their gameplay. If you have a  recommendation or suggestion, do it in the comments like a gentleman.
Tips
⋆ Your main job is more to provide cover fire for the rest of your squad. What this means is shooting at enemies as a method of keeping pressure on them while the heavier hitters in your squad can deal the decisive deathblow. You'll still be in a position to rack up the kills, but your job is more to annoy your enemy into submission.

⋆ Machine guns are different from other weapons in terms of accuracy - usually a weapon becomes less effective over time. In the case of machine guns, the longer you shoot, the more accurate they become. Be careful not to hold the trigger too long, though, since the gun might overheat.

Primary (Top 5)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5.  Lewis Gun

"A versatile and iconic light machine gun considered by many to be the best of WW1. Also known ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   as "the Belgian Rattlesnake" and was widely used during the war."

⋆ The Lewis Gun has larger ammo capacity among infantry weapons, with damage tapering off over distance, more than the other LMGs. It is a great all-rounder. Effective at most ranges due to its large magazine allowing for sustained hipfire at close range and suppression at longer ranges, with low recoil compared to other weapons in the Support class.

⋆ Three variants of the Lewis Gun are featured in multiplayer: Low Weight, Optical, and Suppressive.
  • Low Weight variant is equipped with a bipod,
this basic LMG pattern will quickly regain
    accuracy due to low weight.

  • Optical variant is equipped with a lens sight and vertical foregrip, this LMG pattern
    offers improved aimed accuracy.

  • Suppressive variant is equipped with a bipod
and extended magazine, this LMG pattern offers improved suppressive capability.

4. MG15 n.A.

"The MG15 n.A. is a belt-fed light machine gun similar to heavier, tripod or vehicle-mounted ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀      weapons while remaining portable."

⋆ The weapon suffers from overheating from firing continuously for 35 rounds. Advantage of this gun is that it has the fastest muzzle velocity of all the Light Machine Guns. This makes it a good weapon for suppressing targets at any range, though its slow time to kill means that it may have difficulty killing targets at long range. Another thing to take note of that while the weapon has a very high capacity, its reload time is in fact extremely fast when compared to other support weapons with similar capacity.

⋆ Three variants of the weapon are available in multiplayer: Low Weight, Storm and Suppressive.
  • Low Weight variant features iron sights and a higher spread and recoil decrease, along with a bipod.

  • Storm variant is equipped with a foregrip,
allowing for better recoil control, although it
    lacks a bipod.

  • Suppressive variant features double the ammunition, a bipod, and an optic as its default sight, allowing superior long-range accuracy when set-up.

3.  lMG 08/18

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   "This machine gun was air cooled, relatively light, and even featured a handle
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀for easy transport."

⋆ The lMG08/18 is also better at tackling more than one player while also having very good damage output, so it is the ultimate pub gun for Support. If reloading from empty, the player character will remove the spent belt entirely instead of retracting it, shortening the reload. Seeing as how the suppressive variant can hold 200 rounds, reloading the weapon when nearly empty can take up to 12 seconds. In some situations, it may be worthwhile to simply mag dump the remaining ammunition, rather than going through the cranking process.

⋆ There are two variants of the lMG 08/18: Low Weight and Suppressive.

  • Low Weight variant is the standard version of
    the weapon.

  • Suppressive variant is equipped with a larger magazine and a scope.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Parabellum MG14/17

⠀⠀"A lightweight redesign of the MG08 system featuring a higher rate of fire. The MG14 and its ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀      variants were widely used on planes of the Deutsche Luftstreitkräfte."

⋆ The MG14/17 is capable of firing 35 shots before overheating. As the weapon uses non-disintegrating links, the reload of the weapon changes depending on how many rounds the player had fired.

⋆ There are two variants of the Parabellum MG14/17: Low Weight and Suppressive.

  • MG14/17 Low Weight variant is the standard variant of the weapon, featuring a bipod attachment. As with other basic Light Machine Guns, it will gain improved accuracy the longer
    it is fired without stopping.

  • Suppressive variant features a bipod, and an
optic as its default sight, allowing superior long-range accuracy when set-up. Unlike other Suppressive variants, the MG14/17 doesn't
feature an increased magazine size and
therefore is a statistical downgrade to the
    Low Weight variant.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
 1. BAR M1918A2

"Shortly before WWII, the US Army updated the BAR to the M1918A2. One of the more significant changes made was the replacement of the select fire switch with a rate of fire selector allowing ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀  automatic fire only at either a fast or slow cyclic rate."

⋆ Statistically, the weapon functions as a Low Weight variant of the standard BAR M1918. As with other Low Weight firearms, the M1918A2 recovers both spread and recoil faster compared to the M1918 variants and comes equipped with a bipod.

⋆ Unlike the base game BAR, the M1918A2 replaces its select-fire switch with a rate of fire selector, allowing the use of both a slow and fast rate of fire. The weapon will fire at 360RPM by default, while toggling the rate of fire selector will bring its fire rate up to 600RPM, matching that of the M1918 variants.

⋆ The BAR M1918A2 has no visual customisation options outside of choosing between iron sights and AA sights. Additionally, none of the BAR M1918 skins can be applied to the BAR M1918A2.
Sidearms (Top 3)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. C93

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "The C93 was the first mass-produced semi-automatic pistol. The design of its toggle
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   lock mechanism served as a precursor for the now legendary P08."

⋆ Among the handguns available to all standard infantry, it has the fastest muzzle velocity, a high rate of fire, a slightly larger magazine, and generally favorable recoil. However, it is somewhat less powerful, and less accurate while moving.

⋆ Compared to other low-damage, high-rate-of-fire pistols, it maintains a muzzle velocity and accuracy advantage whilst stationary, but has a lower fire rate and longer reload time.

⋆ Like the P08 Pistol, the C93's toggle lock mechanism may be slightly disturbing while hip-fired, but manages to stay out of the way while aiming down sight due to recoil.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Modello 1915 (Support Class Exclusively)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀  "Designed with simplicity in mind, with an 8 round detachable magazine the M1915 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀was adopted by the Italian army going into WW1."

⋆ In multiplayer, the Modello 1915 fills the role of a low-damage, high rate-of-fire handgun for the Support kit. It is almost identical to the Frommer Stop, 1903 Hammerless and Taschenpistole M1914 in this regard.

⋆ However, it has the worst reload time for bullets left, 1.5s compared to the 1.25s of the Frommer Stop and Taschenpistole M1914, and the 1.16s of the 1903 Hammerless.
⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
1. M1911

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀     "A truly legendary handgun, the M1911 is widely considered
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   the greatest semi-automatic pistolever made."

⋆ The M1911 is the standard pistol version of the weapon. Available from the start, the M1911 is arguably one of the best all-kit handguns due to its high power and fast reloads. At close range, it is capable of killing an enemy in three shots.

⋆ The M1911 has an empty reload speed of 1.7 seconds, faster than those of other all-kit pistols like the P08 and Mle 1903, which have empty reload speeds of 2 seconds and 2.7 seconds respectively.

⋆ A downside to using the M1911 is that it has fairly high recoil when aiming down the sights, and it quickly becomes inaccurate if fired too fast. However, the gun's hipfire accuracy is good and can be useful up to medium distances.

Gadgets
Ammo Crate

⋆ The Ammo Crate resupplies all soldiers within its radius. Players carrying the Medical Syringe can restock this item faster when near an ammo crate, allowing for more teammates to be revived. Unlike the Ammo Pouch, the crate can resupply grenades. The crate can be destroyed by enemy players to prevent supplying.

⋆ Unlike previous games, ammo crates are placed at the user's feet rather than thrown. This may result in situations where a crate is not deployed because there is no space on the ground to do so.

Ammo Pouch

⋆ Like the Bandage Pouch, users on foot can throw pouches at needy teammates with either the Gadget 1/2 button or the Spot button.

⋆ Although it provides ammunition more quickly than the Ammo Crate, it provides only four sets of ammunition, only supplies a single player, and is expended once collected. However, if picked up while at full ammo, it will recharge grenades and gadgets like an ammo crate.

Limpet Charge

⋆ Players carry only one charge at a time, although it can be replenished from ammunition boxes. Limpet charges stick to surfaces and have a three-second timer, activated once placed by the player. Unlike the real magnetic limpet mine, it can stick to all surfaces regardless of the material. It deals significant damage - 45 damage to light tanks - enough to kill unsuspecting infantry. It can be picked back up prior to detonation.

⋆ Unlike other explosives, the limpet charge is insensitive to attack—it can only be set off by its own timer, and cannot otherwise be destroyed or neutralized.

Mortar

⋆ There are two types of shell: Airburst which explode mid-air and damages infantry in a wide radius; and HE which damages infantry, buildings, and vehicles in a smaller radius. Both variants now include a pair of Smoke shells to provide cover from a distance, fired by pressing the same Gadget button assigned to the mortar. The mortar has a maximum range of 100 meters depending on the terrain.

⋆ The gadget has five available shells in total before entering a cooldown state. Unlike past variants, individual shells do not resupply, but the entire system does. Players can simply wait for the cooldown to end to resupply the entire batch of shells and the mortar itself, even after abandoning a prior mortar.

Repair tool

⋆ The repair tool allows players to repair friendly vehicles from outside, inflict damage to enemy vehicles, repair map placements, and attack enemy soldiers. Multiple players can repair the same vehicle more quickly, but at a reduced individual rate.

⋆ Although it can be used for attack, the repair tool deals little damage to vehicles and horses, and the player still carries a standard melee weapon for assailing infantry. Unlike dedicated melee weapons, the repair tool can inflict greater damage with headshots, and can kill targets without entering a takedown, but also without claiming dogtags. The user must land precise blows with the repair tool, as it lacks the wide hit area of melee weapons.

Crossbow Launcher

⋆ As the name suggests, it is a Crossbow that allows players to silently fire different types of grenades at enemies. Grenades launched from the crossbow explode shortly after hitting the ground, no matter their trajectory.

⋆ Two ammo types are available for the crossbow: Frag and High Explosive. They are functionally the same as those available for the Rifle Grenade used by the Medic class. Although the frag grenade inflicts more maximum damage, the HE grenade will explode on impact with a vehicle.

⋆ Like the mortar, the crossbow launcher automatically resupplies its own stock of grenades without the need for Ammo Crates or Pouches. A grenade is replenished after 15 seconds.
