Build Order
  1. Build 3 stables (3 villagers with normal civs, if you have a civ starting with 7 vills, you use 4 to build the stables)
  2. Build Church and Houses (2-3 vills, the rest of the Vills you have)
  3. Click TC and make the militia and send them to enemy (kill the militia of the other guy, or snipe forward vills). Also Start producing vills
  4. Build town Centers with Explorer. When they are finished use your explorer to get Trade post
  5. Make Church Upgrade (mercantilism "+1500 xp" gives around 5 shipments) as soon as possible and send riding school, faster building, unit upgrade, fencing school, factories, tcs, rest of unit upgrades
  6. After your stables are finished, make barracks/ outposts and foundries (usually you make barracks and get skirm)
  7. Wait until your Riding school arrives, then start producing goons. Send them to the enemy and try to get some vills/ Or use them to defend
  8. After your Barracks finish, make skirm
  9. With foundry, make canons as you see necessary (if he has much inf, get horse art, if he has canons/mortars, get culv, if you want to push make mortar)
  10. If your houses are finished, use the vills to produce tcs. Set a Gather point for all your TC's and produce vills nonstop. Build more Mills/ Estates at the start and move the waypoint to one mill. Doing it this way, the villagers will move to the next mill once a mill is full of villagers. So you wont have much idle time
  11. Use your vills to gather the ressources, your civ needs most (food or gold). If you play some games, you'll notice it (germans being gold intensive/ Porto beeing food intensive for example)...also switch factories if necessary
  12. Try to get good fights while getting map control. Fight under your towers or if you have more units/counter units.
  13. When you start running out of ressources and you are being pressured:
  14. Use market and send unit shipment cards
Card Progression
Usually:
  1. Riding School,
  2. Stone Masons,
  3. fencing school,
  4. Dragoon upgrade,
  5. factories,
  6. tc's/vills.
  7. After that get the rest of the unit upgrades. When you run out of ress, send your unit shipment to stay in the game

Decks
Generally are pretty similar to Treaty decks.
Most of the deck will be Unit upgrade and eco upgrade cards
The difference to treaty is that you put in TC's in boom cards (TC, Villagers, Medicine) and in 1v1 you also put in some unit cards, in case you run out of resources.

An Example for a 1v1 deck looks like this:

And for Teamgame:
Civilizations
All european civs are good for DM. There are some better than other, but generally you can play whatever you like best. Asian Civs lack all the wonders and dont have mercantilism (the XP upgrade) and are mediocre at best. Natives are kinda weak too, because they either lack good cards (factories, fencing and riding school (some not all)) and also their lategame is usually kinda meh (you barely see them in treaty too).

S-TIER:
Dutch
Germans
Ottoman

A-TIER:
Sweden
U.S.A
Haudenosaunee

B-TIER:
French
Portugese
Russia
Spain

C-TIER:
British
Aztecs

D-TIER:
Chinese
Indians
Inca
Lakota

Meme-TIER:
Japan
Hotkeys
Hotkeys are your friends! Use Shift + click to build Houses, barracks, stables, foundries and Outposts
Additional good hotkeys:
  • Select all tcs
  • Attack move
  • find explorer
  • find idle villager
  • find all idle villagers
  • I usually put my barracks/stables/ foundries on 3,4 and 5 hotkeys. You can also use the Select all stables/barracks/foundries (Use Cntrl + Number to assign Hotkey and then press the number to quickly select the unit/ Buildings)
Closing Thoughts
Additional Notes:
  • The AI in DM is pretty capable (highest difficulty), so you can easily practice against them.
  • In DM it is all about taking good fights and trading favourably, while taking map control.
  • Usually if you take too many bad fights you run out of ressources and loose the game

If you have any questions, just ask them. Thanks for reading and have fun :)

Your guide is pretty bad, your tier are really bad, portugese french and japanese are S tier, they have the best booming, portugese got the best upgrade card, french best economy, japanese OP upgrade from export for late game,
Swedish too are OP, they have a unique mercenary combo

Your build order is aweful, like It's doesn't make any sense. You can't make a specific building order cause every civ and map are so differents, and god, you do not have talk about the Micro, It's the most important part of the game
