How to get more picture storage mid-mission
By The Snacrifice
Depth Hunter is a pretty fun diving game, however it has a serious progression bug. While playing the game's first section, you can run into an instance where you don't have enough money to expand the USB storage on your camera, but can't get more money until you finish the mission. This guide will show you how to get more storage without having to reset your save file.

The Problem
Depth Hunter 2 is a pretty fun game. Unfortunately, it has a really nasty potential progression lock. Frustratingly, the Developer's only suggestion is to delete your save and restart the game.

In Depth hunter, you have a USB camera with a limited number of shots. It's not communicated very well, but once you've taken too many pictures, you cannot take any more without spending small amounts of the game's currency to buy more shots. These photo spaces DO NOT refill between missions, and the only way to get more is to buy them. Problem is, at the same time you do not receive money from catching fish, finishing objectives, or finding treasures, until the mission is over.

You can run out of storage space mid-mission.

After the first section of the game, this problem goes away as you can quit out, use 'free dive' to go get some money, then just re-do the mission. But until you've unlocked free swim, any photo stage can lock your progress.

the mission 'photos for journal' can cause a progression lock.

It is at this point, if you haven't touched the game yet, you should be aware to leave 200 or so coins in your inventory until you've finished the first section of the game and unlocked free diving.

How to fix the problem
Unfortunately, the Developer's 'fix' is to go and delete the save file, rather than fix the potential bug by making any source of money immediately available.

Luckily for you, I didn't feel like deleting my save.

As stated earlier, things like catching fish, taking photos, completing objectives, finding treasures, etc. All give you money- except it's only given when you finish a dive. There is one other way to obtain money in the game.

It's a bit annoying, but there are hundreds of gold coins scattered along the ocean floor, that match the game's currency. These coins go DIRECTLY into your money pool, without having to quit out of the mission. Each one is worth TWO coins(weird but makes it easier for us lol), so if you're completely tapped, you'll need to pick up a total of 90 coins to get 15 more camera shots.

Luckily, you only 'use' a camera shot when it's 100% quality, so don't worry about messing up, you can always take another picture until you get it 'right'.

get used to this sight if you messed up.
