Controlling Time
So, first off, you need to learn how to control time...

...on your computer. it's not actually that hard. let me show you how to preform the "glitch".

first off, you want to look down at your taskbar, or the thing in the picture below V
Click the "Type here to search" bar, then type in "Settings". If you clicked the right thing, you will be shown a settings menu, that looks like this:
As the picture may suggest, click on "Time & Language", then "Change" below "Set the time and date manually"
then, change it to October 31st.
Congrats, you have learned to control time and you are on track to becoming immortal! Muhahaha! fitting for the chosen date, right? I will be showing you why this makes you immortal in the next Chapter.
Why this works
Okay, it should work by now, but in case you want to know what is happening, and why you and/or some of the ship's crews are skeletons, this is why.

So, this takes advantage of a yearly event within the game. around the time of Halloween, which is on October 31st if you somehow don't know this. (this is also the reason for the Jack-O-Lantern in the thumbnail.) During the event, any ship with the "skeleton crew" modifier will actually have skeleton crews!
However, a more hidden part of this event is that, if you're about to die, instead of dying, your character simply becomes a skeleton, which is incapable of dying (unless you get captured by a spaceship, or possibly if you stay on one of those station-destroying ships). pretty cool, huh?

Anyways, this event is based off of your computer's clock, relying on it to tell the game "It's time for the Halloween event!". by setting this to October 31st, you trick the game into thinking it's Halloween, causing it to activate the event. if case you want your calendar back, you can change it back using the same steps shown previously after the game.

I will warn you though, doing an action as a skeleton that would normally kill you after November 4th WILL cause you to die, as the event ends on November 4th. so, I suggest you keep a mental note to change the date each time you want to play the game without fear of death.
