Description
Adds XML line for 29 XCOM 2 music

Author notes: The file don't include any original music files of XCOM 2 or any other copyright protected stuff! The .xml only manage the files that the users will place to their Rimworld mods folder!

1.0.5 (18/3/2025): Update so the game doesnt giving red error mark, still you need to download music yourself
1.0.4 (25/11/2020): Fix some typo First_Fight >>First_Flight, moving some slow/not battle intense music to be hear at night
1.0.0 (18/11/2020): Release

This mod ADDS the music of XCOM 2 to Rimworld (it don't replace any vanilla music!)
The files are dynamically arranged: e.g. most battle music will be played in combat and few music will be heared at night.
The battle music will only play when there a threat, raid, or enemies around the map.

1) Make my mod as local folder mod / you can manually download from Github

2) If you got the music from the offical soundtrack CD or, lets say, YouTube (you know what I mean ;)

3) The link for following track XCOM 2 Youtube XCOM 2 (Original Soundtrack from the Video Game)

4) Convert the files to .ogg files audio format, you can use whatever converter you want.

5) Rename the following music tracks as the picture

6) It's very important that the music will have the same names as the picture e.g. "Lazarus" , "Squad_Loadout" ,otherwise the .xml won't recognize the files!

7) Put the files in \Steam\SteamApps\common\RimWorld\Mods\XCOM - Music\Sounds

8) Enjoy and welcome commander

can go anywhere in the load order.
As it is a very simple mod XCOM - Music is compatible with other music mods
this mod safe to add and remove mid save game

I do NOT own any of the audio used in this mod, nor the mods have any audio files. all credit goes to Tim Wynn

About the War of The Chosen's OST, can it be patched into this or would it be separate?

Wasn't tryin to be rude there if I came off as such, just an observation.
Botaxalim  [author] 18 Feb, 2022 @ 8:29am
@Tefnut cause the music changed depend on situation happen in game. anyway mods called "Music Manager" have more intregration with mp3 folder, and spotify support, have more advance stuff if you looking for

ok, so, genuine question. If the mod doesnt include the music, why limit it to just one game? Why not, say, just make it a mod that plays custom music? Kinda feels artificially limited.

Absolutely based. Thanks King.

Welcome back, Commander.

I just edited the song and def to be "Welcome", that and re-copy the file in case it got corrupted. One of those worked, thanks for the advice and the great mod. Xcom's music is meant to be listened to for hours on end so really fits with Rimworld.

@Bobdolemite maybe the capital letter ( Lab have big L), eitherway its should be easy to edit using file rename, or edit the xml.

Thanks for the amazing mod, everything works fine with one exception:

When the game loads I get an error related to "Welcome_to_the_Lab.ogg" for some reason the mod is having issues finding the song.

*Note* I followed all the instructions regarding the ogg files, using the originals from the game which were already in the correct format thankfully. I will try to edit the mod to rename the song. Perhaps this is related to the songs name length.
