I've heard tales of local unicorns getting lost in the maze inside the old ruins. We can't have that, can we? Please take a map and explore responsibly, everyone!

The Purple Maze
Good neigh, everyone! I'm "Guiding Light", an old unicorn who can't help but... well, help out with the youth!

After hearing that one of the young unicorns in town became lost in the maze, I was beside myself. How horrible! To make sure it doesn't happen again, I've prepared this map for anyone looking to venture out into the maze themselves:

As you can see, there's quite a quick route to the exit, but it's also very easy to get turned around and lost!

Perhaps you may wish to explore some of those dead ends, however - I believe I saw some valuable red butterflies on more than one occasion, which will certainly make you feel better if you do take a wrong turn!
The Purple Stairs
On a return trip to the maze, you may find yourself in a slightly different layout!

This maze has a set of stairs up north, which leads to a small corridor on the floor above. Purple Butterflies seem to love this corridor, so it's definitely worth checking out!
The Purple Portals
The last area I've found inside of the Purple Maze appears to be a series of Purple Portals. The first portal takes you to a room with four portals. Three of them will take you back to the start, but one will take you forward to a new room! There are eight of these rooms in total, so it can be very easy to get confused.

Luckily, I figured out the pattern to the portals - up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right. It's a very old code that appears in a lot of ancient texts - I'm quite pleased to see it appear again in these ruins!

Please keep in mind that you won't always be facing north when you go through a portal; when you take a south portal, you'll appear facing south in the next room. I'd hate to see any younglings getting lost, so I've placed some candles down near the right portals to make the way that little bit clearer.

It appears that blue butterflies are attracted to these portals, but there's not as many rarer types as in the other mazes. There are still plenty of purple butterflies waiting for those who make it to the final room, however!
The Red Maze
I've noticed that at night, the ruins glow and a second, red portal opens up. They say red is danger, so be careful here...

The Red Maze is similar to the Purple Mazes, but this time there is a Monster inside. This is very scary and not for the faint of heart! However, don't worry too much, young ones - even if the Monster catches you, you'll just run back to the start of the maze, perfectly fine and dandy.

Here is the map of the Red Maze, which is by far the largest one in the entire ruins!

There's a curious dead end in the middle of the maze, which I believe may be where the Monster comes from. Not that it matters, anyway - it quickly starts roaming around the maze as soon as you get in, so just start running!

Fortunately, there are no red or purple butterflies to be found while exploring the twisting paths of the Red Maze, only the usual Purples that flock near the exit portal. Just get to the end as quick as you can, and enjoy your hard-earned treasure!
That's All, Folks!
That's all four possible mazes mapped! Phew, that was hard work. Make sure to use them if you get lost, young ones - running through the Purple Mazes is a very good source of butterflies, if you're looking to collect lots of them!

And with that, stay safe everyone! I'm off to go track down those magical horseshoes. Can you believe there's 30 of them? Until next time!
