It honestly depends on how much time you'd like to invest and how hard/ easy you want to make it for yourself. Thus, there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer.
However, here are some general tips:
Character levels should definitely be 99 although most stats come from job levels. Likewise, getting the EX EX (best possible) weapons help greatly although some crafting materials are gated behind minigame grinding.
The door to the True Final just says something like "Job Level recommended: 99." However, this is kinda deceiving for the actual difficulty. You're going to have to work to get to the top.
I haven't seen too many posts where people actually say how many classes they maxed, but I personally had 3 maxed for everyone. Things were still pretty tough even with that amount of grinding, but manageable.
HOWEVER, I am sure people have done it with 2 max classes or even 1 if they are really good.
Unfortunately, it honestly seems that the patch only helps SOMETIMES for SOME people.
I feel your pain. At this point, the only thing people can do is either keep trying to get the magic RNG for unlocking it, or wait for the next patch.Based on how long it took for patch 1.03, I definitely understand everyone's frustrations and why some put the game down or got a refund.
I meant "forum discussion," my apologies.
