This Could Be Important Achievement Guide - Inheritance DLC
By Delaina
This guide will go through the 24 collectibles needed for this achievement to pop in order. Do note that devs have confirmed that all these collectibles need to be picked up in a SINGLE run of the Inheritance DLC. Had trouble getting this achievement myself as all other guides on Steam seem to be incomplete or unhelpful, so I thought I'd put together a guide to help others facing similar issues.

Overview & Video Guide
Hello! And welcome to my guide for the 'This Could Be Important' Achievement in the Inheritance DLC. All collectibles need to be picked up in a SINGLE run of the DLC in order for the achievement to pop.

Warning: There will be spoilers in this guide since it details locations and events occurring in the DLC for the purposes of accurately locating the collectibles required.

Please note that bulk of the info in this guide has been obtained from True Achievements[www.trueachievements.com] and credit should be given to Beth Bear for the very helpful Achievement Video Guide for 'The Tree and Apple' on which this guide is based, as well as Lt Davo who has helped type down the locations of the collectibles based on this video and another that can be found in the forum thread linked above. A video guide for both the 'This Could Be Important' and 'The Tree and Apple' Achievements can be found below:

Miscellaneous Rooms
1 - Entrance: "Dear Friend" note from lawyer J. J. Sadler at the front doorsill.

2 - Living Room: Certificate of Pedigree by the front window.

3 - Living Room: "My Beloved" note in a cabinet drawer next to the workshop.

4 - Bathroom: Hawaii brochure next to the commode.

5 - Basement: "Dear Mr. and Mrs. Kirkstein" note on a table to the left of the stairs, in a corner.
The Workshop + Land of Fables
6 - Letter from publisher C. J. Marshall in the drawer below the drawings wall (If you move too close to the blurry drawing on the drawers, you'll get teleported into the Land of Fables before you can get this. If this happens, not to worry, you can collect it once you exit that vision.)

7 - Walk towards the blurry drawing. Use the crayon next to the easel to officially enter the Land of Fables. Now Walk forward past the easel, pull the switch, follow the purple railroad path, grab the crayon, use it on the easel to draw birds and clouds. Now follow the green & yellow chicken foot path, go left at the Y, get stopped by the train, and make your way around the front of the train back to the other side of the crossing. Look at the drawing (angry dad at easel/happy mother and daughter in sunlight) resting against a lamppost.

8 - From #7, go back to the other side of the train crossing. Go back to the Y-fork and take the right path. It gives out quickly and becomes dark. Keep going and you will see a red light. Look at the drawing reading "Your dad took it."

9 - Return to the easel. Use the paintbrush. Add the red paint (in the SW corner; If facing the easel, this will be North instead). Enter the narrow twisting corridor behind the easel and find the black paint by pushing a ball up a hill of toys. Add the black paint to the easel. Look to your right. Pick up the crayon. Look below it at the drawing of the princess dragging a sword.

Use the crayon on the easel to re-enter the Land of Fables.

NOTE: you'll be in the Land of Fables for a while, so go forward past the easel and pull the sword from the stone now. The next time the serpent comes by, you will slay him, removing that annoyance and earning you the 'Sword of The Serpent' Achievement if you don't have it already.

10 - At the easel, turn around and follow the paw-print path. When you get to a lamppost and a junction, go left down the leaves path. When you see a drawing of a blue flower on a yellow circle, RUN (hold shift) toward the flower and get there before you're locked out. Look at the drawing of the girl at a grave.

11 - Return to the paw-print trail and follow it to the lamppost junction where you just were. Go right and find the treehouse. Climb the ladder, go in, and wait for the cutscene to end. Pick up the crayon. Return to the easel and draw three lollipops. You're going to follow the paw-print trail again, but things are flipped, so it isn't where it was. Go to the junction you've been to twice already and look the drawing reading "I told him nothing."

12 - From #11, go left down the leaves trail. Look at the drawing of the dog with a heart between two halves of his body.

13 - From #11 again (the junction), take the shoeprint/paw-print path. Look for a horse on the ground and look at the "Why Pink" drawing.

14 - From the easel, go left down the light-colored path that passes by some cups and saucers (not the path that looks like stars! Another one that is a solid pale yellow). When you get to some standing crayons, look at the drawing of the girl and a menacing black figure.

Now you can leave the Land of Fables by finishing it with the crayon option or the painting option. The quickest is the former - take the green and yellow claw path to the jack-in-the-box, get his crayon, and use it. (There will be another drawing you can look at in the workshop, but it doesn't count for this achievement.)

If you entered the Land of Fabled before you picked up #6, you may collect it now.
The Painter's Office + Main Vision
15 - The distorted sheet music on the piano (I have not tested it without the crayon drawings, so do trigger that event to be safe).

16 - In the room with the broken furniture, make stairs out of the chest of drawers, climb it, and touch the clock. Turn around and look at the table. When the room is dark and there are bottles and books stacked around it, stop the clock. Look for a drawing reading "Get Well Soon" sticking out of the books to the right of the fireplace.

17 - Touch the clock again. When you see a candelabra and a red plant on the table (and not a gramophone), stop the clock. Look at the "Don't be sad Mommy" drawing on the seat of the wheelchair.

18 - "What time is it?" card inside the toybox with a large X inside the lid.

19 - After you collect the third piece of the drawing of the mother, go DOWNstairs (avoid going upstairs - you won't be able to go back down!) to the basement. Turn left and make your way to the end of a narrow, winding passage. Look at the photo of the girl and dog.

20 - Knock the red vase over and grab the key. Open the door as if you're going to leave the room, but don't (optional to avoid the fly swarm cutscene). Go back and open the small cabinet to the left, unlock and open the chest, and look at the drawing of two wolves.

21 - "A Glimpse Into the Future" newspaper clipping behind the first board ramp.

22 - "Mising Cat" drawing of Mr Scooter in the toy room next to the one you need to fix him in.

23 - Drawing located in a drawer in the dining room.

24 - When the vision ends, look at the Last Will and Testament in the second desk drawer on the right.

Update: Thanks to all the folks in the comments that mentioned picking up the rat sketch in front of the couch after #24 as well to trigger the achievement! I didn't encounter this myself, but if it's not triggering for you, this might help!
Congratulations!
Well done! - you should see your shiny new achievement pop once the last note is collected. Enjoy your well-earned token of hard work and make sure to stay safe and have a great day ahead!

Thanks for the comments guys! Updated the guide to include the rat drawing since lots of people have started playing Layers of Fear again, probably again due to the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake

Thank you for this! Really useful walk through. The rat drawing in front of the couch is an important one to get, in order to get the achievement. You also need to do it all in one sitting, as I discovered lol. Great effort!:cool_seagull:

Thanks. With your tutorial I managed the achievement. It unlocked after the rat sketch so I wonder if after the last will note is found that both the MD note & the rat sketch is needed as well. 👍🏻

Oh no, I just realized you need to do all in one sitting and maybe #23 could be Henry Marvin card located in the first drawer on the left (office) or the rat drawing near the couch on the second floor since I got them before entering the main vision. Mr Scooter was the last one for me (I didnt picked the drawing on the dining room)

I think this achievement is a bit glitchy because I already had all those collectibles and the progress showed 20/24. I restarted and started collect all one by one and the achievement pop up as soon as I got the Mr. Scooter drawing.
I am not sure but I think that dying could make you loose the collectibles you picked in some areas (with the snake for example, it made me loose the sword drawing and I had to collect it again to pick the sword)

Just a heads up,
Following the guide didn't get me the achievement
You also need to pick up the rat drawing in front of the couch where the dog sat on just in front of the Office room in order to get it

This definitely helped out more than the other guide, missed a note while using the first and it all went real smooth using this one, thanks a lot for writing it!
