Starting cards
After building the town hall, you are given 2 sets of cards to choose from.
The first set is: Wheat seeds, Investment, Trading Post
Wheat seeds are a good card if you settled near a river or in an area with good fertility, but if you don’t take it now, you will have the opportunity to buy it later in standard rolls. If even so you take this card, then you will immediately need to build farms so that the workers have time to sow the fields.
Investment, the best of the first three cards gives 30 coins every 150 seconds is inserted into the Town Hall global slot and can be sold for 300 coins at any time.
Trading Post Quite a useless card to start with, since you often have nothing to sell. Can be learned with the first level technology "Foreign trade"
Second Set Productivity Book, Cabbage Seeds, Iron Smelter
Productivity Book Production + 20% for one building is not impressive.
Cabbage Seeds weaker version Wheat seeds can not be processed.
Iron Smelter this card can be sold for 460 coins. Or leave and earn more, but more on that later.
Bonus Cards
At the beginning, you can get a bonus choice of cards by capturing a territory with a Tribe, an Ancient Sanctuary, or boxes


Note : if this is your first territory you will not receive any cards. The tribe gives the opportunity to join +5 people.

For the tribe and the sanctuary option is:
95% of the time Sustainability Book the best option.

For the boxes you get 3 out 5 options:
+100 Wood +150 Coal is ok nothing special
+80 pottery Good for upgrading your homes to level 2 if you don't have luxury items yet.
+10 jewelry you can sell them for 700-800 coins
+200 iron ore is the strongest choice here if you take an iron smelter, 200 iron ingots * 19 = 3800 - 25% tax = 2850, if you managed to find and put in the smelter card Sustainability Book, then you get 330 * 19 -25% = 4700.

You will also receive bonus cards for completing tasks in the upper right corner
Home Brew and Beer Tax are very good and are suitable for any city if you can meet the requirements.
The rest are more situational.

The real question is how do you cap towns ans "search" crates. Is it done by buying the territory or using a warrior?

This needs serious updating, and these graphics for bonus's haven't been used in over a year. Getting bonus resources hasn't been used in awhile as well.
Suggestion to get slow cash, but helpful gain is to get one or more trade post and/or port. Then get 20 to 40 medicine and/or iron tools every other trade cycle. As your production increase boost it a little, keep buy numbers low while selling off other stock to make extra. Be careful and make sure you have at least two of each and more as you gain more territory.

I never get those options for territories with boxes or crates. I only ever get the option to choose productivity/frugality/etc cards for every territory I claim.

Take the Trading post. But make sure to add 40-60 tools @27 each. Sell a few medicine if needed. If you assemble the post immediately you can sell the extra tools @ 60+ (45 or so after fees) and nearly double available starting cash.

Then, going forward you can trim your Leather stock multiple times per year until you can actually use it.

I disagree with trading post being useless, I almost always pick it for diety difficulty to restock tools without having to spend the research first.
Same with productivity I think it's quite useful for diety as well to get you over the first winter without casualties.

Productivity Card in farms and mine Incrising yield, Sustainability Book in Mine decrising deposit depletion.Why you need global slot for this?

For global cards i would like to see
Efficiency cards
Farm increasing yields
Farm more worker slots(1-3)
Mine Decreasing consumed ore(5-10)
Mine Increasing yield (5-10)
Mine Increasing maximum workers (1-3)
Global food Consumpion

Above all i would love to see a Ajustable slider in map creation for random cards every 1-10 minutes.
