1) install the mod, enable it
2) load the save game, save the game again (as changes occur even if you have not reached the edge of the map)
3) disable the mod, because otherwise, when reloading the save, the mod will try to reduce the edges again and because of this, an error will occur.
Voila, you are great and your edges have a perfect size!
Optional: if your game crashes when creating a map, first create a map and only then proceed to step 1.
I started a few days ago a game on oceania (geodormant/metal rich/subsurface oceans), my pc reset due to a brownout and now when I try to load any autosave from cycles 96 to 105, it crashes.
Started a new game on same world, same traits, it crashes if I try to load any autosave from cycle 63 through 72, but loads fine my manual save back on cycle 24.
In both cases it also flags printing pod manager on crash but if I disable that it'll flag something else. It all works fine without clean edges enabled.
Also, in both the games mentioned above I'm still working on the core base so I haven't got anywhere near the edges yet.
It would be lovely if you could have a look into this, as this mod is pretty useful.
