Already done the nightmare and collectables on series X. Thanks for this I don't need to do 1 campaign completion just to unlock nightmare. I just wanted to play from nightmare onwards XD

Mostly favouring this guide and played the Remaster First and purchased the original release. While I definitely enjoyed the Remastered version of the game, the graphical bugs does kinda hindered a recommendation. Gonna try and do a Nightmare Run of the game on a fresh slate.

Was expecting options like faster movement or skipping dialog to make collecting pages and searching thermoses quicker, but that's cool too. :LIS_poker_face:

Thank you. Wanted this to instantly unlock nightmare mode on a new save.

bought the game i while bacl and can't play because it crashes at the beginning in the wooden bridge when the dude says something about being killed by your own creation, maybe with this i can skip that one part and finally be able to enjoy the game

im in chapter 1. get to the lighthouse. the very first person you come across and run into his house, the dude dies, yes? youre stuck in the house with the tv eyeballs, then it says get to the light house again as the wall explodes and you run outside to see that big glowing light fly over to the street light and it says [F] Focus, well... i hit F and it focuses but when i enter the light nothing happens, doesnt heal me like it should, in fact at first my health bar would pop up and only fill the first little bar, infinitely, over and over again. now, its not showing my life bar at all. and neither time, would it let me progress. this is why mods and cheats are necessary, to get past parts that may be broken as hell, like the first 2 minutes of alan wake remastered, apparently are.

Massive coping and seething here. It takes away from the challenge and the experience as the developers intended.

|Using cheats snatch away the fun of playing games.|

Snatching the fun away is subjective. Me, I don't like horror games much. They're not my cup of tea. So giving me unlimited ammo means I can have fun just fighting the monsters at my own pace and following along with the story. That's dramatically more fun to me. When people online say I'm doing it wrong for not playing the 'intended' way feels like that one kid you know growing up who gets REALLY UPSET if you stray from the script playing with dolls or something and your doing it wrong. Fun is different for different people.

Hi, I have the game on Steam and recently bought it from Epic. I saw all the comments, and I have no way to play from the beginning on nightmare difficulty. If anyone can give me a hand, I would appreciate it.
