Opening the Editor

Load Golf Around. On the main menu select "Editor". You will see the following screen:

Now select "Start" (if you want to edit with other people you must wait at this screen until a friend appears to join you in the editor) and you will enter the editor which looks like this:

Editing

In the editor you can now place course track pieces/tiles and mechanics (such as chickens, saws, lasers and corkscrews!) as you wish for each hole. It is best to design one hole at a time. The tiles and pieces available will vary depending on what "map" theme you have selected, e.g. in "Dungeon theme" you can access saws and to access lasers you would need to select the "Lab" theme. You can mix and match the different themes as you wish.

Don't forget for each hole you will need to place a flag and a "spawn" (the term used for the start of your hole). When your map is finished you will also need to use the "preview camera" to get the picture that people will see if they are considering downloading your map. If you do not do these things, this message will come up:

Saving and Publishing
Don't forget to save your map regularly - ideally after every hole is created. To do this initially, simply select "file", "save as" and then give your map a good name! Subsequently you can simply click "file" and "save".

If you do not finish a map and need to come back another time, load the editor as shown in the first section of the guide. You will get back to this screen:

Now, simply select "file" and "open" and then select the name of the map that you wish to continue editing.

When you are happy with your map you go "file", "save and publish". Press "ok" to upload to the Workshop. Congratulations! You have uploaded your first map and other Golf Around players will be able to download it, play it and rate it!
