I have difficulties connecting my microphone to the game.

From the Main Menu, go to Option then Sound and then in the Microphone 1 section, select the microphone you want to connect to the game (select it and see its name in the corresponding box).
We have been able to connect any microphones we could test to the game. Nevertheless we could not test all microphones and all PC configurations and therefore, it may be that in very rare cases a microphone does not work. In such a case:
-Unplug your webcam and all your microphones, restart the game and reconnect them one by one (restarting the game everytime)
-Restart the game and try another USB port for the microphone
-Verify in the Windows peripherals that the microphone is recognized and/or try a different microphone

I have a lag/synchronization problem

This is not normal and we have properly synchronized lyrics and melodies with the audio/video for each track. There are different cases which can create lag:
- The most common is Pause / Alt Tab / Moving playing window with mouse: After a certain number of those actions during in-game. Some lag can appear. Restart the song and there is no more lag.
- In the menu that launches when you launch the game first choose the first option in the list (Fastest)
- Plug your USB microphone to a different USB port. The fastest ports are the ones directly connected to your motherboard (often on the back of your PC).
- A few rare webcams create lag: This is solved by unplugging the webcam or disactivating it in the Option menu.

I have the feeling that my score does not depend on how well I sing

The technology behind the game has been tested with professional singers and has been used in millions of games so far, so this is not normal. There are two possible reasons for this.
- One is the lag problem (please see above).
- The other one is the sensitivity of your microphones, which you should adjust in the Option menu.
You will obtain a more precise scoring if you use a handheld or headset rather than with a built in microphone from a lap top, but you can get pretty good recognition with a built in lap top microphone too.

I have an external sound card and my game crashes at launch

The only know case of crash is with rare combinations of external sound cards and hardware and especially if you have entries on your sound card that are not microphones.
In the Windows sound properties menu, disable the “recording devices” linked to your sound card. Those can be called for instance "Aux", "Stereo Mix" and "Wave" or other depending on your soundcard.
If you are not sure which recording device to disconnect, we recommend to disconnect all “recording devices” excepted the microphone you plan to use.
