Basic Tips on how to Survive the Apocalypse called the Hunted Gamemode.
1. Dont shoot unless you see a survivor and/or player zombie. (Note: sometimes shooting either of these things on sight is a bad idea, especially if they are not aware of your presence. Some survivors may not be hostile. Optionally, ask people if they are friendly, preferably before a game starts.)

2. If you don't care about camping then do it. (Personally i dont do it.) If you choose to camp then find a good spot. Dont be the person to die while camping.

3. Know your surooundings at ALL times. If you dont check your back at all times, how do you know there isn't some behind you?

4. if you see a horde of zombies heading somewhere its for a reason. Its highly likely to be for two reasons: A. a survivor is nearby. B. a player zombie is leading a horde, sometimes to a survivor (maybe even you).

Now I have tips for individual maps....
How to Survive the New Neighbors in Auoraestate. (Or at least thats what I call it. The map's technical name is ch_auoraestates)
1. TURN OFF the FLASHLIGHTS!!!

2. Look for flashlights. These are from the survivors.

3. loot all houses but have your back covered.

4. If you see someone not watching their back while looting then go for a swift head shot.

5. if you find a gun with ammo (even if you dont need it), pick up the gun and unload it.

6. Try not to sprint, unless necessary. If you have to, then do it, but keep in mind that you will almost always attract attention from zombies/survivors.

7. Try to not leave a trail for where you have been. Close all the doors you open. Break as little amount of windows as possible (broken windows now hurt to walk through, unless all glass has been cleared already). And try not to make much noise.

Now time for the tips on the park with tents...
How to Survive The Bully at the Playgrounds. (Or at least thats what I call it. Real name is ch_cypruspark)
1. Loot the tents. Every time I go in one I find at least: one gun, and ammo or a incculator.

2. If you are a camper, then the bathrooms make a great hiding spot, but turn off your flashlight in there.

3.hide in the bushes and arounds the trees. These will help you by allowing you to (as a zombie or human) sneak up on a Survivor.

4. Always have your flashlight off. I find so many people with on. Because of how bright the map is, flashlights are not as dangerous to yourself, but are still visible.

5. Go for clean head shots. this will conserve ammo and make easier to make it so other survivors have a harder time tracking your location.

6. Try to not be in the tubes. they may hold little ammo but its a choke point.
Boarding the Pioneer Express
1. The enterable train cars are a hit & miss. Inside there's hiding spots in closets & such (Edit: there is almost always a window facing the closet entrances. Players can easily snipe you from those. Do not use the closets for hiding.) The aisles have many, many windows for other players to shoot at you from both sides.

2.One area that you'll pass through often is the locker room. This place is somewhat unique, as it provides ample places for evading or ambushing other players from locker walls or inside the shower area. Even more so, there seems to always be a nailgun and pile of boards conveniently located here. Every single entrance/exit to the locker room can be boarded up. Do note that, same as any instance where a player barricades, players will instantly know that someone is/has been there (and the former is usually the case), so you may give away your position.
Surviving the Thugs in the Downtown Wasteslands.
1. Don't go up the fire escap ladder as a last resort if followed by zombies. This will result to you getting trapped by the small area where you can't open the door to your left. You CAN jump down but you'll take minor fall damage and get traped between the hoard and the fence behind you. The only use I have found is a good camping spot.

2. The hardware store is mainly useless. it as very few items to loot but the bank is the gold! (No pun intended) it as a lot of guns and ammo for your needs. I found two inculators, a shotgun, and an ausalt rifle on my first sweep.

3. There is good loot in the weird hut thing in the middle of the map but it is a great place to die. There is open windows in every direction but if you have the guts to do it i always find a Inculator in there.

4. What ever you do! DO NOT RUN IN THE STREETS!!! There is a horde of zeds in the streets. I find that most people that run there die. (Including me)

5. Having the ability to change your planned path to places like the gunshop, gas station, or our very own Larry's Diner, becomes essential thanks to randomized fence gates. When one door may be open (and has a green light on for easy identification) during a specific round, it might be closed the next (red light is shown accordingly). -TR

6. Whether or not you are already aware, Barlowe Square is a huge map. If you're itching to play some Hunted before going off somewhere or simply want to enjoy fast-paced action within Hunted, Barlowe Sq. will not satisfy. Rounds can last a minimum of 10-25 minutes. However, should a big environment with lengthy games sound like your forte, it is highly recommended that you start up a private server & explore it by yourself. A lot of doors here don't do anything at all, so it can get confusing to remember which one can get between you and a pack of zombies, or slow you down long enough to seal your fate. -TR
Honorable Mentions!!!!!
HONORABLE MENTIONS!!!!

1. MrAtomicXGaming
If you are very close to a survivor and he/she is looking for you just crouch, crouching makes less noise rather than walking.

2. MrAtomicXGaming
If someone is shooting you find a safe spot if they are far away or even if they are close.

3. Pogotwister.exe
Players can use their phones to see any nearby players (R to scroll through list if there's more than 1 listed), alive or un-dead. They even have the option to ping the person's phone to find their location. The drawback is, now THEY are also aware that someone ELSE is lurking about, so make sure you're pretty confident in your weapons before doing so.

4. Pogotwister.exe
Also you can set your ringtone to vibrate, so it doesn't make half as much noise.

5. ThunderHunter
Also a good tip for you guys while looting:
Always have your phone up while looting, so you don t get surprised while being at it.
If it happens that he/she just has entered your phone range (you know when his name is popping up on it) avoid opening and closing doors, as then they will instantly know that you`re here. Try to stay silent and not ping them. You can locate him by his footsteps if you pay attention. If he notices you beforehand by pinging you, go ahead and ping him back, but be careful! Smart players lurk around the corner, ping you and wait for you to pull out your cell phone to ping back, leaving you vulnerable for a split second. If it happens to be that he leaves your cellphone radius, wait a bit and then continue looting, but like always have your cellphone up.

6. ThunderHunter
Avoid to ping Player Zombies passing by, unless you know that he knows where you are.
Identifying a Player Zombies just by looking on the Cellphone won´t work as the First on the Contact List is always highlited and Green, (White is the Colour of Survivors if not highlited and Red for Playerzombies) so you gotta check the Playerboard by pressing TAB. Player Zombies will have Images of Zombies besides their Names and like that you can indentify if someone is a Player Zombies or a Survivor. Player Zombies have no actual tracking method to their disposal, so you can hide from a Player Zombie easily when he`s not aware of you.

7. ThunderHunter
NEVER EVER try to beat someone with a AR15 with a pistol in an open fight, this thing is powerful and extremely accurate and you`ll -probably- die trying if your opponent isn't a complete noob.
Same goes for Player Zombies, besides the Sledgehammer and the shotguns, AR15`s are a Player Zombies nightmare. (Writer's Note: Edited tip slightly because even skilled shotgun users have lost to pistoleers at close range before. -PT)

Aim for the head.

9. madnesmassacre
As a player zombie you can see the footsteps of humans ( once zombie vision is activated , press F to activate ) so you can follow the footsteps and eventually find (a) human(s)

10. ThunderHunter
Be a patient Player. If you know someone is behind that door and you wanna ambush them, go ahead and wait. Don t listen to those guys flaming you as a Camper, you just dont run in suicidal like everyone. This Method is especially important on Pioneer Express where close combat is common and you might face multiple players at once. Knowing when to stay silent and wait for opportunities (like 2 Players being distracted by shooting eachother) will give you plenty of kills and the majority of points. Just be sure to not get funneled out by npc hordes chasing you, or getting flanked by a random guy.

11. IHazCheezBurger
Tip for Barlowe Square: If you really need to cross the streets, try doing it unnoticed. Crouch walking across the street makes you less visible and you don't get spotted by zombies that often, just stay away from zombies and you should be fine.

12.Cereal Killer
Small tip: survivors and breakable doors glow while zombie vision is activated.

13. TunderHunter
Crouch walking across the Street on Barlowe will get you you killed on most occasions, due to being an easy headshot for snipers. I recommend avoiding big open space in the first place and if you have to go trough there, then you should sprint zigzag and look for cover.

But I believe pinging someones phone will alert zombies to their presence as well, so on top of them having to worry about a player, zombies are now aware of them.

If YOU wanna be a honorable metion leave the tip in the comment section below. I will tell you if you are now a honorable mention and thank you greatly.
Conclusion...
I hope this helped. If you find any mistakes with my typing let me know. If you have any sudgestions let me know and I may add them. thank you for your time and consideration. rember this is just my experence with game so far. I will update as needed.

Please if you have any tips of your own leave them in the comments and please rate this as you feel it should be rated as. Leave your feedback in the comments so i can make this guide a better experience.

But please turn off those fllashlights and watch your back.

Special thanks to: Pogotwister.exe
For making this all possible.

Developer's Note from Pogotwister: There is a good chance this guide will not be updated anymore. As much as I would like to contribute, future updates have effectively nullified my chances of keeping the game running for more than 5 minutes before a crash. I can't speak for Canada Dry/Boss_Reckoner, though. Glad I could help in any way I could. Stay safe, everyone.

If you here a firefight happening try to get in viewing distance so that when one of the players dies you can swoop in kill the other person who is looting (with little or no trouble if you catch him off guard) but when you have finished looting run away as soon as possible because the noise from the firefight will have attracted alot of unwanted attention from zombies and players alike I hope this is useful for you hunters out there

Also, if you're in Aurora streets or whatever the small map is called, Never, and I mean NEVER hide in the same spot for more than about a minute. There'll always be that one player that already looted a couple houses to loot the house right next to your spot, pull up their phone, and search around the house. This can get annoying especially if you've been in that spot for a majority of the game and you haven't looted about anything yet.

The way you lose Zombies is by having either another player either run by or shoot in meidium range to make the zombies to have a new target.

How do I lose the zombies without killing them?

Didn't see it up there, but I believe pinging someones phone will alert zombies to their presence as well, so ontop of them having to worry about a player, zombies are now aware of them.
