Description
With the addition of the music player in the free Basileus update, this mod is now obsolete. Please instead use the main version.

-

Welcome to the Crusader Kings II Music - Metal Only Mod. As the name implies, this mod only adds tracks from the metal-focused music DLC for Crusader Kings II.

Alongside this, the main menu music has also been changed to the CK2 main menu music added in the Full Plate Metal DLC.

The audio has been adjusted so they should be of a similar volume to the vanilla tracks.

Contents
This mod contains music from the following DLC for Crusader Kings II:

Compatibility
✔️ Ironman compatible - This mod does not modify the checksum and will not prevent you from getting achievements!

✔️ Savegame compatible - Saves made before downloading this mod can be loaded and played as normal!

This should also be compatible with most other mods, even ones that also alter the in-game music (though I haven't tested this). The only potential for conflict is if a mod has music files with names that are identical to ones in here.

---

I do not profit from the distribution of any of these mods and should any of the tracks included be officially added by Paradox to Crusader Kings III in the future, they shall be removed!

Yes because the notification inside the game used the word mod. I don't remember it word for word. This is the only mod I used. Once I disabled it, I could play multiplayer.

@Aizenvolt - I don't have a solution to this one, unfortunately. I've never played multiplayer so I am not familiar with how it works with mods. I was under the impression though that compatibility was entirely checksum based and thus you should be able to play with people with the same checksum. Are you 100% sure it's this mod that's causing the issue?

Thanks for the quick response. One more thing, I noticed that I can't play multiplayer with people who don't have the mod even though the checksum isn't affected. Is there a way for the mod to work on multiplayer with people who don't have it?

@Aizenvolt - All you should need to do is open the zz_ck2_music_metal.txt file in the mod's music folder and delete the entries of any of the songs you don't want.

How to choose only a few of the songs to be played?

Kiss ass man, works beautifully now!

@Sorenishii - Yeah, it looks like the last 30 seconds or so were erased when I was converting them all to .ogg format and I didn't catch it at the time (I admit that I don't personally use this version mod). I've added a new version of the track to the mod and it should now be fixed. Thanks for letting me know :)

Also, alongside this fix, I've taken the opportunity to finally add the prioritized_mood modifier to all tracks. With this they should now (hopefully) play much more frequently.

La La Lej cuts out halfway through the song, one of the main reasons I got this mod.

UPDATE: Tracks should no longer be constantly interrupted by event popups or war declarations.
