GSTP - 14inch Track Pack

Description
GSTP

First and foremost: This is not meant to be used with Track Assembly. I will not be adding support for it, and neither will the creator of TA. This is meant to be used in Hammer by mappers.
This is a track pack made in Hammer Propper for Garry's Mod made by qwertyaaa[github.com] using the Trakpak 3 design philosophy by Magnum MacKivler[github.com].
GSTP is an acronym for the full title "G Scale Track Pack". The "G" originally stood for Gmod, back when Sligwolf released his Mini-trains addon around 2013. The track gauge at that time was 13u. This meant that the rails were off-grid when working in Hammer, 0.5u on either side of 12.

The name G Scale dates back to 2014 when building custom trains for Sligwolf's Mini-trains took off and stood for Gmod Scale. There were two different loading gauges (baseplate widths) that were used back then. 12u had its wheels between the tracks and was typically entirely prop built. 18u had a little bit more success, as it rode on top of the tracks with the addition of Gold Heart's[github.com] Mr. Train Loco Part Pack. This added a bunch of wheels in addition to other props like bogies and car bodies. He has also released another pack with better wheels. These were originally going to be part of GoldHeart Narrow Gauge Railway Pack.

Basic Information

Units: 1u = 1'' or 1 inch
Gauge: 14u (Inside of one rail to the other)
Flange Gauge: 11.5u (Outside edge of one flange to another)
Origin: Located between the rails and sleepers, all geometry goes x+ relative to the original rotation. (4u from bottom, 2u from top)
Rails: 1x2u (WxH)
Sleepers: 4x4u (WxH)
Separation: 64u between track centers.
Rotation: 90°. It is not necessary to rotate a piece of track to any finer degree than 90°, as every angle of track you could ever want is available to you in model form. If a piece is rotated finer than 90°, it will not line up with other pieces of track. If a piece is heading right and you want it to head left, change the folder and not the rotation.
Important note: S bends exist to go between two parallel tracks only on grid aligned straights. No two curves will equal an S bend, these S bend props exist for a reason.

Curves (Vertically flat track with an arc segment between two different horizontal slopes):
0090 (Straight on to 90° to the right)
(l/r)0014 (Straight to 1/4 slope) 0° > 14.04°
(l/r)0024 (Straight to 2/4 slope) 0° > 26.57°
(l/r)0044 (Straight to 4/4 slope) 0° > 45°
(l/r)1424 (1/4 to 2/4 slope) 14.04° > 26.57°
(l/r)1444 (1/4 to 4/4 slope) 14.04° > 45°
(l/r)2444 (2/4 to 4/4 slope) 26.57° > 45°

Straights (Vertically flat track with a horizontal slope):
0/0 (Grid aligned straight) 0°
1/4 (Right or left 1u for every 4u forward) 14.04°
2/4 (Right or left 2u for every 4u forward) 26.57°
4/4 (4u to the side for every 4u forward) 45°
Change the angle by changing the containing folder. Example: st/04/1024.mdl to st/r14/1024.mdl

Grade:
3.125% 1u rise over 32u run, a 1/32 slope. (Horizontally flat track with a vertical slope)
Example: gr/04/1024.mdl to gr/r14/1024.mdl
There is also a 1/64 slope available in 64u long pieces as a transition from flat to grade. gr/04/64/64.mdl

Mapping:
Prefabs are located on the Github[github.com].
Maps that are made for trainbuild and are either exclusively or mainly G scale (14u) track should be named according to this scheme:
"gm_gstp_*"

Maps included with GSTP:
gm_gstp_test - Made by qwertyaaa

Materials:
Propper Textures
In order to see these textures in Hammer, you need to install the \models\proppertextures in the materials folder. Ignore the \proppertextures folder unless you are making props with Propper.

no they are not public as if you see in the credits they were not made by him they were made by others as the track is intended for trainbuild meaning you'd have to make your own engines.

are the trains you used public? if not, can you send the base model?
