Rules and Guidelines
  1. No Politics/Religious Discussions
These topics have no place in video-games!
  2. Be Respectful
Do not harass other players, Admin or otherwise
  3. Do Not Pillar Spam or Leave Taming Traps laying around.
Any instances of using Pillars to claim any area will be considered a punishable offense! Respect each-other by not leaving locked, inaccessible traps laying around our map!
Structure Limiter is in-place per Player/Tribe. Each Player/Tribe is allotted a total of 8k structures.
Check this with the command /showlimits
  4. Do not block resource spawns or through-ways.
    This includes Metal Spawns, etc;
  5. Don't leave creatures set to "Mating".
This has a negative effect on Server Resources and can cause servers to lag.
  6. Don't leave creatures sitting around with un-used yet active "Caravans, Loaders or Harvesters".
Disable these when not in use! These will keep your creatures loaded and active in world, preventing stasis so you can work without worry. However leaving these active when you're not actually using them can and will cause lag by keeping unnecessary resources loaded and used.
  7. Don't build structures you don't plan to use!
We offer a very generous structure limiter across our cluster, but this does not mean that we allow several base locations "just because".
Too many base locations in a single map will result in a warning. Failure to adhere to the warning for reducing your structure locations will result in admin removal!

    PvP Specific
  8. Do not completely Wipe other Tribes out!
Those found to completely wipe a tribe, will themselves be wiped out via Admin intervention! So don't do it!
  9. No using a PvE Tribe to build a "Wall" or "Barrier" around your PvP base.
PvP bases found with PvE tribe "Walls" or "Barriers" who fail to report such an unwelcome guest will also receive punishment for the offense.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this server do Regular Wipes?
No, there are no plans to do any wipes of the server.
If there is ever the thought of doing a Server-Wipe it will be taken to a community vote first!
You can participate in all suggestions and votes on our Discord.

Is there a Server Discord?
Yes, you can find that here Discord Link[discord.gg]

How can I support the Server?
You can offer financial support via our Group Pay[my.serverblend.com] method. Funds go directly to the hosting provider!
You can also leave us a review on our Steam Thread if you haven't already.

I don't see the server!?
Check this Discord Channel[discord.com] to see if a recent posting for the server has been published to channel.
You may be experiencing one of the following problems:
  1. You're trying to search for the server via name, this is unreliable. Add the server to Steam Favorites via provided IP Address(es)
  2. Client Mods are outdated
    1. Go to Steam Workshop and "Browse" > subscribed mods
    2. Right-hand side will have a drop down to select "recently updated"
    3. Click the top most Mod (Might need to do the top 3) and Unsubscribe and Resubscribe
  3. Your Server List is set to "PvE"
You'll need to switch this search setting to ANY or PvP
  4. Server is pending a Game Update[survivetheark.com]
Please wait for the 5 minute mark of the hour to allow the Server to get the update.

How do I go PvP mode?
Use the command /pvp into your chat.
PvP players cannot Tribe with PvE players! Only Tribe Admin/Leaders can convert a Tribe's Status to PvP.
This is irreversible so be sure this is what you want!

How do I activate an ORP?
Stand where you'd like your ORP to be placed, it covers a 45 foundation radius. Use the command /setorp to set your ORP's location.
You can use the following commands to get information on your ORP status:

  • /showorp
    Displays your visual ORP range
  • /removeorp
    Removes your Tribe's ORP

I found someone breaking one of the rules, where do I report that?
You can report that on the Discord[discord.gg]'s request support tickets.

A PvE Tribe decided it would be funny to block in my PvP Tribe, what do I do!? I don't want to get in trouble!
Simply report the offending Tribe in Discord[discord.gg] and it will be addressed. So long as you report the incident you will not be viewed as guilty of PvE-Shielding.

How often does the server restart?
The server(s) will restart if there an update to a Mod or Game at any point one is detected.
A weekly restart i scheduled on Wednesday's to ensure the server is running top-notch.

How often are updates done?
This is an automated process, the server will attempt to Steam update daily, if there is an update available.
This will continue to perform this check every hour throughout the entire day.

A mod updated and I'm getting a mod mismatch error!?
First make sure there are no mods that you need to update, sometimes mod updates don't always go through the client automatically.
If you find there are none you need and it is in fact the server, don't worry. The server checks for a new mod update every hour on the 20 minute mark. (12:20, 1:20, 2:20, etc)

Reward Vault & Currency
F.A.Q
  1. How do I get ARc Currency?
You earn ARc passively by playing with us online. ARc is rewarded every 2 hours of playtime.
  2. Is there a limit to how much ARc I can have?
Yes, your ARc will cap out at 1,000,000.
Attempting to "consume" more ARc using the ARc bars will just be wasted. We will not refund you wasted ARc if you consume these over your max limit.

  3. What can I do with my ARc?
You can use your ARc in the Reward Vault or as a Currency to trade with other players via in-person or via the Auction House system.
  4. How do I use the Multi-Choice Packs?
You will need to reduce all un-wanted options to 0 and increase the options do you want to the desired value.
For Example: Random Level Creature - Reduce Phoenix value to 0 and set desired Creature's number to 1

Kraken's Better Dinos
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1565015734

General Settings
All levels of dinos have an equal chance to spawn.
Equalized Wild Dino Levels:
Wild Babies: True
Passive Tame Babies: True
Angry Parents: True
Fertilized Nests: True

Key Dino Changes
Creatures with an altered Kibble (or added kibble) will be marked with a *
Not all Creatures altered by Kraken's Better Dinos will be listed here!
Corrupted Drakes & Wyverns
  • Now able to create wild nests and eggs. These can occur anywhere these creatures are found, they have no set spawning area.
  • Although the laid eggs will say that they were laid by a Corrupted Wyvern or a Drake, they will hatch into completely normal Wyverns and Drakes. These are completely vanilla eggs that are being laid.
  • Corrupted Wyverns can lay any of the four types of Wyvern eggs by default at random (Ice, Fire, Poison and Lightning).

Trike *
  • All stats increased by 50% (this includes torpor, and required Affinity, this means that Trikes will be harder to knock out and will require more food than previously, please adjust accordingly when attempting to tame)
    • Trikes now require Superior Kibble as their preferred taming food in accordance with their new higher tier station.
  • Charge attack now scales with Melee Damage and now inflicts an Armour negating piercing attack. This also causes bonus damage depending on the Mass of the dinos it is hitting, the bigger the target, the more bonus damage inflicted.
  • Pack dino, leader of the pack signified by glowing body spots and frill. Stomp Attack on C, Taunt Attack on X (Prone) (can be performed by the pack leader and copied by the pack)

Dung Beetle
  • Able to auto-collect dropped poop whilst it is on wander.
  • Able to process poop made stackable by stack mods (provided the stack mod has done things in the right way by making child items).
  • Will automatically distribute fertilizer to nearby crop plots that require filling.
  • Will also collect Lymantria Spores pooped out by the Lymantria.
  • Collection and distribution of poop and fertilizer can be toggled in the Beetles radial menu.
  • Now gendered and breedable. Females must have wandering disabled to be able to mate as wandering is still required for fertilizer production.

Ferox
Added new attack to X (Dino Air Brake) that uses a cool unused punchy animation. This hits four times with a slightly higher damage than the regular swipes. This attack is sped up by addiction.

Hyaenodon
  • Come in randomised sizes.
  • Improved tamed rotation rate.
  • The very largest Hyaenodons (1.3x sized) can now be ridden.
    • You cannot specifically breed for size as the Ark breeding mechanics do not currently allow such a thing, but any bred Hyaenodon has a chance of popping out as a 1.3 size regardless of what size its parents are.

Karkinos
  • Able to walk sideways, like a good crab should.
  • New Attack, press X (Prone) when riding to initiate a 360 degree spin attack inflicting multiple hits.
  • Pick up a tamed allied Glowpet with your left claw with the Platform Saddle equipped to mount the Glowpet on the Crabs head and take it for a ride! This serves a practical purpose as all Platform Saddles will block the Charge light buff from being placed on the rider from a shoulder mounted Glowpet, which will cause Nameless to spawn. Glowpets mounted this way will not draw aggro except from Seekers, and cannot be damaged, just as if they were mounted on your shoulder.
    • While a Glowpet is mounted, you can toggle its light on and off by pressing your Alt Fire button (Left Ctrl by default).
    • Glowpet can be unmounted from the Crab by selecting the option from the radial menu.
  • Now able to grab Flyers

Lymantria (Moth)
  • Can strafe when flying and walk backwards.
  • Passively generates Silk in its inventory at a rate of 1 every 3 minutes, up to max of 100.
  • Gas Bomb moved to Right Click attack.
    • Left click is now a melee attack, dealing 12 base damage and can harvest bushes for berries.
  • Poops 'Lymantria Spores' a high fertilizer content poop which cannot be used to make regular compost.

Mammoth
  • Left Click tusk attack no longer stops movement and is once more the Mammoths primary wood harvesting attack. This attack will no longer gather berries. If harvesting whilst moving then you will gather mostly thatch. If stationary when harvesting will gather wood using the beavers damage type.
  • Space Bar stomp attack can still be used to harvest berries, but will not harvest wood.

Mantis *
  • Can be tamed using 'Exceptional Kibble' in addition to Deathworm Horns with the same amount/effectiveness.
  • Now has a regular jump as well as the long pounce jump.

Megalosaurus
  • AI grab attacks made an AI special attack meaning that unless enabled the Megalo will always attempt to bite its prey.
  • Vastly reduced effects of daytime debuff, vastly increased maximum sleep debt and threshold that the nasty over tired debuff kicks in.
  • Vastly reduced rate of sleep debt gain and slightly reduced rate of sleep debt regain.
  • Now has Night Vision, holding X (Prone) when riding the Megalo will enable night vision (this is the same as the Snow Owls 'Predator Vision' visual effect). X must be held down to keep the effect, this is not a toggle.
  • Reduced drag weight to be able to be carried by Quetzals again..

Oviraptor
  • Does not require wandering to provide egg boost.

Purlovia
  • Now rideable and able to be equipped with a saddle
  • Immune to bee sting debuff, dilo spit, and Yutyrannus Fear roars.
  • Reduced damage received from Bees, Dragonflies, Ants, and Dimorphs.

Pachyrhinosaurus
Has increased gathering for Wood (Uses the mammoths old damage type) and a 20% weight reduction for wood. Now has 4 additional new pheromone effects. These can be selected through the radial menu and assigned to either the Right Click or C attack.
  • XP Booster; causes all tribe dinos within range to receive a 2x XP boost, lasts Oxygen Stat divided by 3 with a maximum duration of 600 seconds. Does not effect Pachyrhinos themselves.
  • Fortitude; Will reduce food and water drain of Tribes players and dinos to 25%, provides 100 Hyper/Hypothermal insulation, helps with a little bit of Torpor reduction, lasts for Oxygen Stat divided by 3, maximum duration of 600 seconds.
  • Food Drain; Doubles the food drain of ALL players and dinos within range. Lasts for Oxygen stat divided by 3, maximum duration of 900 seconds. I repeat, affects all dinos in range (except for Pachyrhinos themselves) whether wild or tamed, conscious or unconscious...
  • Adrenaline; Also Affects ALL players and Dinos in range except Pachyrhinos, Increases speed by 50%, regains stamina at the rate of 0.5 per second, reduces torpor at a rate of -10 per second, lasts for Oxygen Stat divided by 5, maximum duration of 300 seconds.
Kraken's Better Dinos (Continued)
Sabertooth
Doubled Jump Z height, added Right click attack and C Roar attack. Left click now uses only bite animation, does piercing damage, bypassing and shredding armour (uses Manta damage type), Right click attack uses claw animation, uses original Saber damage type and gathers large amounts of Hide, increased damage of this attack to 34. Saber now does increased damage against Pack and Gang Dinos with its left click attack, gaining an extra 35% damage for each of the following traits the victim dino possesses:
  • Is Gang Dino (will have +1, +2 etc. above its head)
  • Is Pack Dino (Is a child of the pack dino base class, ie. can have a pack leader and pack bonus, eg. Allo, Direwolf, Raptor, Ravager etc.)
  • Has Pack Buff (ie. Direwolf or Raptors after the pack leader has activated the pack buffs)
  • Is Pack Leader (self explainatory)

These are additive, meaning that as an example, attacking a Direwolf pack leader will gain an additional 105% damage with the bite attack (35% for each of Gang Dino, Pack Dino, and Pack Leader)

Spino
Immune to Eels

Tek Dinos
  • All Tek Dinos have 2% damage increase and receive 2% less damage.
  • All Tek dinos (except Mosa) poop Oil.

Araneo (Spider) *
[list[*]Wall crawling ability, toggled with right click, web attack moved to C key. Holding down C key for 3+ seconds will charge up a bola web attack, it is ready when the cross hair appears. This can be used to immobilise creatures larger than the regular bola for up to 20 seconds, only used by tamed spiders.
  • If your dino or team mate is immobilised by a web bola, you can free them by holding either a sword or a sickle and holding E on them.
  • Can be tamed with Simple Kibble

Manta
Can be tamed with Simple Kibble, as intended but botched up by WC.

Styracosaurus *
Tamed with berries, veggies or 'Simple' Kibble (reference the Trike on Dododex et al. for amounts)

Appetizer
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=864890773

Appetizer
Reduces Hunger Value over-time to speed up Food Consumption Rate
  • Drain Multiplier: 3
  • Drain Duration: 30 seconds

Appetizer X
Reduces Hunger Value on a Flat Rate to speed up Food Consumption Rate
  • Flat Food Drain: 50

Appetizer Grenade
Reduces Hunger Value over-time to speed up time between Passive Feeding.
Throw at wild dino, it will not affect humans or tamed dinos and it will not scare/aggro wild dinos, now works underwater too (it`s hard to aim but you can stand near the dino and hold mouse click for it to explode in your hand).
  • Passive tamable dinos will receive a buff for 1 minute and 30 seconds allowing you to feed them every 10 seconds, there will be a visual effect on them letting you know the buff is active. You can also throw multiple grenades at once to make the buff last longer(buff time will be extended not reset).
    • Wild dinos both conscious and unconscious dinos will have 120 food instantly removed.

      • Buff Duration: 90 seconds
      • Feeding Interval: 10 seconds
      • Unconscious Flat Food Drain: 120

Appetizer Tranq Dart
Reduces Hunger Value at a flat-rate while also applying Torpor.
  • Passive tamable dinos will receive a buff for 1.5 minutes allowing you to feed them every 10 seconds, there will be a visual effect on them letting you know the buff is active. You can also shoot multiple times to make the buff last longer (buff time will be extended not reset), it will not damage or scare/aggro them.
  • Wild dinos both conscious and unconscious dinos will have 40 food instantly removed, if you shoot unconscious dinos it will not damage them or lower taming effectiveness.

    • Flat Food Drain: 50
    • Torpor Multiplier: 7
    • Passive Feeding Interval: 10 seconds

Tips and Tricks
  • Blue Appetizer:
At x3 Food Drain of 30s, you need to input x3 into Food Drain Multiplier on Dododex, view the Tame Time for your food choice and then double that number in Blue Appetizers.
EX:: 150 Argent takes 22m to tame with Prime so 22 x 2 = 44 Appetizers needed for exact count for fastest tame time.
  • Red Appetizer:
Red Appetizers instantly drain 50 food from the creatures food stat. For this calculation, you want to select the food type you're using and then view the Starve Timer. The food required to eat is then divided by 50 to get exact amount of appetizers needed to avoid waste.
Ex: 150 Argent requires 1450 Food from Prime Meat. Divide 1450 by 50 = 29 Red Appetizers for instant tame drain

  • Caravan

Important Server Information
A few tips and extra information you'll need to know to get the best out of our mods and server settings.
Also a few fair warnings about can and will happen if you choose to ignore restarts, saves and other in-place server procedures.

Everything on a Map is completely missing!
Make sure you're checking how many "days" is listed on the server.
You can see this in any server-list, whether it's joining the Cluster for the first time in the day, transferring to another map or viewing the information on your extended HUD info (H by default)

If the *Days* is below 20 on a server that shouldn't otherwise be less than 20, you need to open a Ticket immediately in the #iron-nexus-server-tickets[discord.com] channel.
*Waiting too long can make the save un-retrievable otherwise and your Tames, Structures, Items or Characters on that map will be lost forever*

Mod Mismatch Errors:
Often this is due to the client not receiving the latest mod update, you can easily fix this with the following steps:
  1. Go to the Workshop Page for ARK: Survival Evolved
  2. Use the `Browse` drop down option to select `Subscribed Items`
  3. On the right-hand side you'll find another option `Subscribed Items: Date Subscribed` Switch this to say `Date Updated`
  4. Click the Mod at the top of the list to go to it's Workshop Page
  5. Unsubscribe and Resubscribe to the mod to make sure your Client updates to the most recent version available.
You're good to go!

If this did not resolve your issue, wait until XX:20 of any hour to give the server time to update it's mods appropriately.

PvP is permanent!
Be careful who you're teaming with!
A Tribe Leader can set an entire Tribe into PVP Mode without the Tribe's consent. Even after leaving that tribe, you will continue to be in PvP Mode.
Do not Tribe with players you do not trust!

Mod Warnings/Tips
Working Class
Crafting Saddle creatures will create a "Components" folder in their inventory when an Antinode is equipped.
The Module does not vanish it's simply in the new folder!

Soul Traps
If you lose a Soul-Trap or a Creature who had at one time been Soul-Trapped to a server error, crash, transfer or otherwise. We need to know the following information, no exceptions:
  1. Your Ingame name
  2. Tribe Name
  3. Specie
  4. Tame's Given Name
  5. Tame's Level
  6. Tame's Gender
  7. Map(s) last seen
  8. Reason for loss of Soul
Failure to provide this information can cause your request for retrieval to be completely denied.. I don't like playing 20 questions.

*These are a great option if you need to be away from the game for an extended period of time as they do not `decay` and a soul-terminal has a 30-day demo-timer. It also circumvents your need to login to make sure your tames are fed!*

Player Provided Tools & Tips

Breeding Spread-sheet
I needed something a little more multi-user friendly than ARK Smart Breeding and instead came up with a Google Spreadsheet system that automatically calculates, highlights and tracks data for you. It's not as fancy and flashy as Smart Breeding App but it is a lot more user-friendly I think, as well as easier to share among all tribe-mates.
It's complete with a "Notes" area that will flag next to the Dino's name for anything important you want to list about your Creature.
