How to mark yourself as author of your custom world

Procedure
1) Save any currently opened custom world and exit Race the Sun

2) a) For Windows 64bit OS users : Go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\22067611\253030\remote\user_levels

b) For Windows 32bit users : Go to
C:\Program Files\Steam\userdata\22067611\253030\remote\user_levels

c) For MacOSx users : Go to
Macintosh HD>Users>Your_User_Name>Library>Application Support>Steam>userdata>22067611>253030>remote>user_levels

3) Locate your custom world XML file and open it with any text editor software like Notepad, TextEdit, etc.

4) The begining of the code should look like this :
(this an example of one of my custom worlds XML file. Your author name space will at first be empty. I highlighted mine so you can locate the right spot more easily)

5) Write your author name between the bracets after world_author=

6) Save the file and close it.


There you go ! Your name will be showed as author when people will download your custom world :)

Just as a tip the first # in the file path is the creators steam account number and does change based on the user. Also nice guide, very helpful to me.

It worked :)
I managed to copy several different objects from one level to another.
I have not tried copying patterns or events, but I am 100% sure that will work too.
I might make a guide about how to do it. :snowglobe:

Hmm... Really interesting question, I never thought about it :P
I don't know, I've never tried it but that would be quite awesome :)
Tell me the result if you try it ;) I'm really interested to know.
Unfortunately I won't be able to test it before monday...
If it works, it might even work to copy paste paterns which would be a quite nice feature :)
