You start Worldbuilder, you make your work unaware of the cons of the Company of Heroes
Worldbuilder, you are not able to complete your work and want to save... but... YOU CANT!!!
Instead you recieve those 2 following error message:






Now what do you do? You search aroung how you can fix it or you search the allmighty all knowledging Google for any answers to find, but you only find, install Company of Heroes Legacy edition and use this Worldbuilder. So..; what about the map you have build so beautifully? You throw it away unsaved because well... not able to save it and you lose the motivation and courage to again redo your map.


This issue does happen because you play now the Company of Heroes Relaunch edition, which means that you play through the game in the steam folder. When you start the World Builder and you still have the folders in your user folder from the old version of the game's path, it is bound to show errors since the Worldbuilder and the map data (depending on what you want to work at (already existing map or already started new custom map)) are NOT in the same folder.

Before i share the steps i'll give you a warning though, Doing those following steps will not make you able to save any work you have done previously, it will only hlp you if you check this guide first (per chance) oryou didnt started working yet on your map.



Step 1:

-Go to your old company of heroes game files:
C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes Relaunch\ww2


-Copy all the datas you have in this WW2 folder

Step 2:

-Go to your Company of Heroes Relaunch Steam folder:
(in my case): E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch


-Select the WW2 folder you see in the above screenshot. It if is not exisiting already you can manually create one

-Paste the folders you have copied on the earlier step.

This is how you folder in Steam should look like now



To have you custom maps usable you have to have this path now:
E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch\WW2\Data\Scenarios\MP

MP folder are for Multiplayer maps, SP folder for singleplayer maps.

The fix is done!

I hope this will help some clear the darkness lurking around your heads and bring in some light of benediction to resolve your issue! I was myself searching around alot of times, until my friend AB2551 which is also the creator of the NHC mod sent me his filepath. Thats where i had the clic in my brain haha!
