General Tips
General
  • Drift often to ramp up your boost for the final lap.
  • Try to stay 2nd place and stay in the Draft of another car. (Draft also gains boost)
  • In final lap about the last checkpoint point, start using the entire boost to get away from the pack. (Note that the AI uses Rubber-banding so if you do it too early they catch up)
  • Only use boost if really necessary, say if you fall behind too far and cannot catch the Draft. Or when you misjudged a corner or get rammed into one.

Boosting at the start
If you rev your car into the yellow you’ll get your start boost. If you go into the red you’ll do a burnout, if you go grey/white you get a slow start. So learn to stay in the yellow at the start of the race.

The cars
The higher the difficulty the more aggressive the AI is, thus more likely to spin you out by ramming you. Top speed becomes one of the most valuable attribute in Expert mode. Side effect is that faster cars have worse cornering handling, so you need to drift a lot but that intern gives you more boost.

Having a bad race
You do not need to win all the races! Often 2 race wins + mid-pack results are enough. So refrain from doing a restart due to it will restart the entire GP, thus meaning starting with the very first race again of the GP.
Characters & Cars
Personally I got the achievement with this setup.
Keep in mind it does not have to be like this to be able to make it, if you are struggling give it a shot. I’ve won some races, some I didn’t but the overall score in the end I won the GP.
