Levski Class MKXI

Description
*UPDATED 07.11.2021 - for the "Among the Ancients"

Levski Class MKX Submarine was designed with the intention of a balanced system craft, capable of doing a wide range of missions. The vessel has a relatively small design, compared to the many systems it has on board.

Levski will help you reach the center of Europa and back as it has already done with my crew!

But...

You will need all types of upgrades - fuel efficiency, battery capacity, engine power, hull integrity, periscope range and many more! This is not an overpowered sub!!! Take your time and invest in it!

*Be advised to read the on board Terminal Manual, as there are some mechanics that you need to know before you set sail*

The submarine has the following features:
- 33x7m which is smaller than a Dugong.
- It will run with a crew of 3 to 8 sailors.
- 3000 power reactor with automatic control.
- 18 top speed engine at 50 Helm.
- 4 coil guns that leave little blind spots, but only 2 periscopes to control them and harder periscopes for control on crew with less weapon skill. Bottom rail gun and a depth charge tube.
- Small scout drone that can also carry crates and artifacts, to support the divers. It has periscope navigation and electrical discharge coil.
- Top and bottom airlocks. Proper airlocks that flood before opening the hatch, to prevent bobbing of the sub. You can always override that by clicking the button again.
- Artifact airlock, where you can store all the artifacts you want in water with easy access to the docking or deconstructor.
- Huge storage options both in fabrication and medical, with the ability to label each cabinet separately.
- Mineral scanner at the deconstructor, with a mineral Terminal to quickly check what those rocks were!
- Engineering that can monitor the hull integrity; switch emergency lights on to conserve power; use the discharge coil but at the risk of burning the Junction boxes.
- Silent mode where the reactor shuts down, and the engine power is dropped to 25%.
- Sonar antenna's on the front and top of the sub, that needs to be activated from the command room. 1 active antenna will give out sonar with random cut offs for 2 seconds, every 10-15 seconds on avarage. 2 active antennas will give a stable signal. They are powered by batteries which are outside and have to be recharged manually by wiring. Read the on board Terminal manual for more information.
- 360 search lights to help the captain navigate the sea, which are also accessable from the medbay, for the medic to look for plants.
- Oscilating search lights at the top and bottom, which can be turned on when the you need additional light at that wreck or on the sea bed.
- Flood and fire alarm system, that notifies which room has an issue on the Nav screen
- Oxygen control system to conserve power. All the o2 shelfs are connected to the o2 generator.

This submarine took me a lot of time to design, which can be seen from the many components it has. It has an overly complicated wiring, so most of it is locked. You download the sub and just play, without any wiring worry - plug and play!

I would like to thank Badgerman for providing his great assemblies and sticking around to help me test it.
Also to all the other sub builders, which I could not resist and taken some ideas from. I've tried to mention all in the sub-editor.
Also the whole #Baro-subs channel for being patient with me, learning the sub editor. This is my first sub and I hope that people enjoy it!

Cheers!!!

Honestly the list of changes that need to be done to the sub is enormous. With game patches some mechanics on the sub become obsolete. Balancing issues might occur. Mostly i wanna make the sub viable for single player - bot friendly. Some day I will do it. No time right now though.

Yeah, it's a simple relay that needs a change of power voltage if i remember correctly. OR, you just change the power requirements of the lamps that bother you. Although i would suggest you just follow the wires from a lamp to find the relay that has the low power relay number. Less than 1000. might be 20, can't remember. And change that to 1000. and it will work.
Reactor should be working fine. Turn it on and press callibrate button while it is ON and it should find it's optimal number.
SOME day I might get back to the game and rework the sub.

If you are worried about lights and power you can change the voltage required for the lamps in sub editor

The sub editor is actually pretty straight forward if you put in about an hour to figure out the os

Sub's still usable. Only issues are lights flickering (which I imagine is just the relays needing to be rewired) and also the auto-reactor control doesn't seem to be totally working. Not that wiring a simple two-component controller is exactly hard. I'd give fixing both of these things a shot but the sub editor scares me, otherwise the sub works pretty damn fine.

too bad, great sub

scratch that - new patch has reworked the relays. So there might be issues with a lot of logic. I'll look into it some day. but for now i'm incapable of playing the game.

Is it just me or does this sub has serious problem with flickering lights?

check in engineering if the silent mode is on. Try turning it ON and OFF and check the speed.

I have issue with the new update or just me, the ship only run with 5km/h max on my save.
all the engine upgrade have been purchased as well.
