"1975. After Werner Weinhold's escape from East Germany results in the death of two border guards, tensions between the two Germanies are at a boiling point. Demands for Weinhold's extradition are ignored by West German capital Bonn. In the coming months, skirmishes are reported all over the West/East German border as Panzerausbildungsregiment 19 moves across the Iron Curtain into West Germany, coming into contact with Panzerbrigade 2 after confirmation of territorial violation. Additional spearheads into the FDR threaten to turn the regional battles into a larger conflict with the proximity of the British reconnaissance regiment, the 9th/12th Royal Lancers in the area."
