The SAL-AMU CA15 is a wheeled armoured car jointly developed by Società di Armature Leggere (SAL) and Ateliers de construction et Munitions Unies (AMU)
for the Dominion Ground Forces.


In early ████, ████, Dominion Ground Forces published a set of requirements and requests for proposal (RFP) for a variety of armoured vehicles to international arms markets.

Società di Armature Leggere (SAL) created the preliminary hull design of the CA15 in mid-█████, contacting the renowned arms firm Ateliers de construction et Munitions Unies (AMU) for assistance in creating the turret. AMU created a turret modified from an existing design. An undisclosed number was sent to █████ for trials.

By mid-late █████, the CA15 was put in service following a number of changes to the design.
In early ████, ████, a directive from Dominion Ground Forces published new requirements for light vehicles; necessitating a change in armament for the CA15.

SAL and AMU subsequently installed a new 127mm mid-pressure gun, simplified the drivetrain components to ease production, and made quality-of-life improvements for the crew, like increased stowage space and improved driver's hatch.
Following a further change in Dominion Ground Forces' requirements, the standard 105mm gun replaced the main gun.

• The vehicle will drift/slide excessively. The tires have very low side friction to keep the vehicle from tipping during high-speed turns.
  
• In the event that the gunner is unable to continue fighting, the commander's override controls can be utilised to continue control of the weapons.
  -Turret cannon & coax is on weapon group 1.
  -Autocannon is on group 2.
  -Commander & Loader roof-mounted MGs are on group 3.
  
• The rear infantry compartment may be cramped at full capacity (6 dismounts.)
