General tips

Some tips :

As an Oculus Quest 2 user : If you want to unlock these achievements, you should play through VR Desktop and launch Steam VR from Virtual Desktop, otherwise the achievements won't pop directly (they'll pop when you start the game with Steam VR)
If you're an Oculus Quest 2 user, use the bindings available in the options (one of the community bindings).
Using "Load Checkpoint" won't reset your achievements progress
If you want to go fast, use the "teleport" movement
There are no difficulty-related achievements

Campaign Achievements

Below are listed all achievements that can be acquired during the campaign, organized by chapter.

Chapter 1

Ain't no rats here Clean the storage

Open every storage you find in chapter 1.

Room service?! Explore the living quarters

Open and enter in EVERY room in chapter 1.

Knee deep in trouble Get to the nicest room

You should get this achievement by following the tips for the "Room service?!" achievement. Explore every room.

The sun is going down Pacify a big guy

This achievement pops the first time you bring down a big guy, shotgun strongly advised !

Brave or stupid Take no flashlight

Launch Chapter 1 and NEVER use the flashlight. The achievement will pop after you completed chapter 1, during chapter 2 (to be safe, I didn't use the flashlight during the start of chapter 2 either).

Who's this guy? Meet your nemesis

Can't be missed, you unlock it through the story.

Bloody hell Find the cultist room in chapter 1

Blooded Finish chapter 1

Self-explanatory, can't be missed.

Chapter 2

I'm too good for you Do not use healing or armor station in the Hangar

During the Hangar in Chapter 2, do not use a Healing Station or an Armor Station.

Sharpshooter Complete the shooting range

During the chapter 2, you'll find yourself in a shooting range, just shoot all the targets.

Obviously Do what you shouldn't

During chapter 2, you'll be face with two buttons : "GATE OPEN" and "DO NOT PUSH". Push the second button.

No wings to fly Finish chapter 2

Self-explanatory, can't be missed.

Chapter 3

I don't care about the rules Progress without disabling the turrets

You can get this achievement at the start of Chapter 3 (just load it) by not destroying the generator that disables the turrets. Just use the "teleport" option to get past the turrets in order to get the bomb, and use it also to go back to plant the bomb on the rock. The achievement will pop :)

Seriously messed up Find the cultist room in chapter 3

EXPLOSIONS!!! Witness the spectacle

It occurs during chapter 3, but can't remember exactly when, sorry !

6th sense Find the shortest route

This achievement may be broken, keep running and don't explore much. On the community forums (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/578210/discussions/0/2996543814096066099/), Marius said that he kept going left most of the time and he unlocked this achievement.

One bullwhip short Die because of the boulder

Follow this video, all credits go to Skeasy ! At 00:30, there's a boulder falling down on you, try to get crushed by it.

Really?! Die in a lava pond

Follow this video, all credits go to Skeasy :)

Fastest man alive Outrun the rising lava

At the end of chapter 3, run and don't let the lava touch you (you can use the "teleport" movement to move quickly).

Down the road Finish chapter 3

Self-explanatory, can't be missed.

Chapter 4

Starry day Have a walk outside

When you leave the base and go outside the achievement should pop ! It may take some time though.

Barbeque Have a still living zombie fall into lava

I unlocked it after starting chapter 4 (from timestamps), can't exactly remember where. If asked, I'll try and make a video.

Wild West Go on a doggy hunt with only pistols

This achievement may be a bit broken, I've unlocked it using a Dark Rifle and a Shotgun, not pistols. During chapter 4, at this moment https://youtu.be/Vd2vPUOxJRk?t=7355 you'll meet many creatures. Kill them all.

A skull full of maggots Find the cultist room in chapter 4

Walking on sunshine Finish chapter 4

Self-explanatory, can't be missed.

Chapter 5

Some touch with reality Finish chapter 5

Self-explanatory, can't be missed.

Chapter 6

Learned the Dark Art

A brief history of time and space Finish chapter 6

Self-explanatory, can't be missed.

I will survive Finish the game

Self-explanatory, can't be missed.

Kills Achievements

Is that all? Kill 100 zombies

Self-explanatory.

Cleanup crew Kill 1000 zombies

Self-explanatory.

One man army Kill 10000 zombies

Self-explanatory.

The hard way Kill 1000 zombies with bodyshots

It means you have to kill 1000 zombies without headshots, pretty easy.

Knight Beat 250 zombies to death

Self-explanatory. If you want to farm it, I'd advise you to do it during chapter 1 while you only have zombies as ennemies. Kill some when you have the sword (or any melee weapon) then load the last checkpoint. Repeat.

The easy way Kill 1000 zombies with headshots

Self-explanatory. Aim for the head.

Demolition man Kill 250 zombies with explosions

For the achievements "Demolition man" and "French fried", I've used this strategy :
Load Chapter 5
Clear the first room
After the first room, you'll fight some invisibles, kill them and get the flamethrower and don't use it.
Grab the grenades (for "Demolition man")
Open the door and progress until you reach a checkpoint (still don't use the flamethrower)
You should have the flamethrower with 2000 ammo (1000+1000)
When you reach the door on your right you'll see some enemies running to you. Wait for them and kill them with the flamethrower/grenades (for "Demolition man").
When enemies stop spawning, just reload the checkpoint. Repeat until you get both achievements.
It may be not the best method, but I was able to get both achievements rather quickly.

Exterminator Kill 500 creatures

During chapter 4, at this moment https://youtu.be/Vd2vPUOxJRk?t=7355 you'll meet many creatures. Kill them then load the checkpoint and repeat until you unlock the achievement.

French fried Burn 250 zombies to death

Weapon Achievements

From my experience, you can ONLY get these achievements through the campaign, and the weapons must be picked up (they can't come from your inventory), e.g. : if you want to get the Dual Shotgun achievement, you MUST pick up two shotguns, none of them can come from your inventory (it won't count).

Armed and ready Get a pistol

You should get it rather quickly !

Just like in the movies Get dual pistols

If you didn't get it before, just load Chapter 3 and you'll find two pistols waiting for you after opening the first door.

Freedom dispenser Get an assault rifle

You should get it rather quickly !

Des and troy Get dual assault rifles

You can get it during chapter 2. If needed, I'll try and search where you can find them.

Get off my property Get a shotgun

If you didn't get it before, just load Chapter 3 and you'll find two shotguns waiting for you after opening the first door. Same for the other shotgun achievement.

What do you hunt with these? Get dual shotguns

In the face! Get a sniper rifle

Load chapter 4 and you should find one in a weapon rack, just before going outside.

A real kick Get a dark shotgun

If you didn't get it before chapter 4, see the strategy for "Real gangsta" or "What can survive you?".

What can survive you? Get dual dark shotguns

Achievements "Real gangsta" and "What can survive you?" are kinda broken, I unlocked them with one Dark Pistol and one Dark Shotgun.
This is how I unlocked it :
- Load chapter 4
- Continue until you reach the turrets and disable them
- 20 meters from the turrets you'll find a Dark shotgun and a Dark Pistol before going through the door
- Equip them both and you should unlock one of the two achievements
- I've reloaded the level and used the same strategy and it unlocked the other achievement

Rapid fire Get a dark pistol

If you didn't get it before chapter 4, see the strategy for "Real gangsta" or "What can survive you?".

Real gangsta Get dual dark pistols

Fast and furious Get an SMG

If you didn't get it before, you can find two SMGs during the chapter 6 (just before you destroy the plank to go through a hole). Same for the other SMG achievement.

More than enough Get dual SMGs

If you didn't get it before, you can find two SMGs during the chapter 6 (just before you destroy the plank to go through a hole). Same for the other SMG achievement.

Misc. Achievements

Hellxplorer Find all cultist rooms

You'll get this achievement after finding your last cultist room.

SHUT UP! Mute the narration

Go in the options of the game and mute the narration, easy.

Collector Get all achievements

Self-explanatory, this will be the last achievement you'll get ! I unlocked it by relaunching the game after I unlocked my last achievement.

Many thanks for the very helpful guide! Just got the completion!
I also had trouble with getting the Brave or stupid achievment. I finished the first level several times and couldn't get it. Then I tired to delete the SaveGame15.sav file and complete the first chapter. It didn't help. I tried that thing three times and it was still no use. Then I removed all the files in the folder SaveGames and then I finally got that frigging cheevo! Then I deleted only SaveGame15.sav and returned that file from my main saves with completed campaign and started doing some grindy kill achievements (French fried, Exterminator and One man army). And when I got the last of those cheevos I also got the Collector one

I've gone through the game like 15 times and cannot get this fucking brave or stupid achievement to work, I deleted my save folder and got it to unlock but then Collector - Get all achievements didn't work so I relocked it and started attempting it on my old save file again. its really fucked up, what am I suppose to do??

In Chapter 2 do you remember how far you had to advance? - sorry, i do not remember exacly, maybe 5-10min?

One man army: just kill a lot of zombie. I used a first arena map, that one from the first chapter.

Hi Dynamite Dan,
I deleted my savegames and started new game. Did not work for first time, so i deleted second time and than it worked. It popped just after chapter 1, during chapter 2.
Also: i backup save game, copied it to another catalog + i did all other achievements before deleting the files.

After the year and half - still "Brave or stupid" (Take no flashlight) achievement do not pop up. Tried starting new chapter from chapter select.
Next time i will try to delete my save game and start over.

Hi. I am not for 100% sure about not touching the flashlight but I am pretty sure about not using it at all. I did try by chapter select. I will try one more time during the week and I will back to you.

Let me know: is there possibility to start new game without the flashlight at all - like there is no pinned on the body?

Hey ! Are you sure you didn't even touch the flashlight ? Achievements for this game are quite buggy... Maybe try one more time and continue until the end of chapter 2 if it pops. For me it popped during my second playthrough, try to do it with chapter select --> Chapter 1.

Hi,
I just read your guide and I was able to get "Real gangsta" achievement (Get dual dark pistols). Thank you for that.

I tried to get "Brave or stupid" (Take no flashlight) but did not pop up. My character had the flashlight from the begining of the first chapter (pinned on the body, but I did not used it), but I remember playing the game first time he did not had flasligh - can you guide me to the solution of this achievement?
