Introduction/Notice
Greeting, this guide will primarily serves as the title says for anyone seeking to get a quick-read for information regarding a effective factory/complex location without the use of mods.

For anyone reading on be sure to leave a comment if you know about any good factories/complexes locations and what are they composed in nature (such as Chip Plant, silicon mine, etc). Also for those who hailing from X3:TC or X3:R, some of the factories/complexes seen in this guide may apply to the previous games. Also note that much of the listed locations came from the Egosoft forum posting from this link.

Argon Opportunties
In the sector of Home of Light, you can begin constructing your complex early with initial factory of either Wheat Farm or Cattle Ranch with a hired or owned TL. Then to meeting the energy need of your factory, you can assign a freighter to the factory buy energy cells around 12 or 13 credit-ish if you have some credits to drop on buying a basic, fast version or you can take on slower path for credit growth with setting the energy buy around 17 credits which can work quite well. After some time selling and hopefully you do other stuff such as doing the Albion plot, you may begin to link the factory with a CCK (Complex Construction Kit) and a 2nd factory (again, Wheat farm or Ranch) for a single entitily, with Wheat and Ranch together you may bring in more money with energy cells as the complex's life blood. Then as extra wait comes in and doing other stuff, you may link up to additional 4 factories (2 Wheat and Cattle) together. Ultimately in this setup with 4 or 5 basic freighters assigned and closing the docks off to the Public, you can make quite a money source out of this while supplying the caboona bakeries in nearby sectors with meats and wheats.

Boron Opportunties
In the sector of Queen's Space (2 gates east from Kingdom End), the sector provides good souce of energy cells for Teladianium Foundy factory as well as few Ore asteroids may provides you the chance to squeezes some juicy profits provided you assigned 2 or 3 freighters to a complex made up of a Ore Mine and Teladianium. This set up along with setting one of the freighters to buy the energy cells and other to sell the products to the bio gas factories themselves.
Paranid Opportunties
In the sector of Duke's Domain, this place will provides you some income upon construction of a Teladianium Foundy and assigned two basic freighters to buy energy cells and to export Teladianium to other factories to produce a profit. Together with ordering the factory only keeping 300k credits in its' account, you'll have a credit generation machine that will keep on forever in one place and there is only mininal risk to it being attacked.

In the sector of Sacred Relic, Soyery factories in this place are suffering from lack of soy beans that is required in the production. These factories however can be supplied easily with one simple construction of Soy Farm and later can be attched with more soy farms if you wants to produce them faster, and this one factory or a complex can be assigned with two or more freigthers to fetch energy cells as well as exporting soy beans to nearby soyeries that requires it. One noteworthy tip to consider that there are some freighter traffic in the sector, but not too many ships coming through this sector that may be interested in buying the beans.

Split Opportunties
In the sector of Thuruk's Pride, there is occaional case of famine due to not-so-readily of food factories nearby that can be bought and sold to the factories of this very sector. If you were to budget for Chelt Aquarium, Raster Refinery, and CCK, this combination can produce very hefty profits returns providing you procure yourself a freighter that can carry minium of 5k energy cells per run under 13 credits each. Once you get the freighter and assigned to the complex as a Home Base, this factory will pay for itself over time.
Teladi Opportunties
In the sector of Company's Pride, there is a untapped market (in this case a Teladi Trading Station) that one can simply exploit by building a Space Weed complex by building 2 Bliss Places and 2 Dream Farms together with 4 CCKs. Once you spent the boatloads of credits into buying many of the factories as well as 2 Baldrics freighters assigned and a patrolling ship or a squadron, this will reimbuse you money as well as ensuring keeping pirates at bay from destroying your complex you will have to hold.

Terran Oppounity
In the sector of Neptures, you can start up a food production complex by starting with Protein Paste Blending Facility and assigning it a Baldric freighter for its 110 m/s speed and decent cargo space and giving it upgrades. Although It might have a slow start for the factory at first but over time as your freighter delivering energy cells to fire up the production line and factory is roaring to life with pumping out products, making you money with gradually growing amount of interested customers you may expend on it and making it a complex by adding in a extra PP factory or different food factories such as Food Supply to add in variety to maximze your profit gain.

Also to add in final note that until the end of Shady Business that ends in a certain way, you'll want to maxmize your freighters' travel distance to 3 to avoid them getting shot to pieces by a random jerk NPC who thought your freighter might be the enemy they're looking for. Otherwise don't worry about this part if you apply the complex into Terran Conflict.
Lawless Systems Opportunities
In the sector of Farnham's Legend, You can get into the business of boot legging by constructing a complex composing only Space Fuel Distillery and Wheat Farm (L is advisable) into the sector and have a speedy freighter that can carry over 4k units of E-cells assigned to this complex. After setting up the complex with 100-200k capitals and set the assigned freighter to travel within 2 or 3 sectors, you can set the price for Space Fuel's price 600-625 ish. Soon as the energy cells shipment arrived and complex putting itself to work, you'll have customers flooding in for space fuels and at any time you can decide if you want to attach another distillery to produce S-fuels faster.

Another profitable boot legging production can be placed into Hatikvah's Faith with the same concept seen above, this location however will have greater risk of being camped by Xenon squadron of Q and few escorting fighters. Either solutions to getting rid of camping Xenons are A you can get a M2 Destroyer patrolling this sector or B when you noticing you aren't racking profits or traders selling your factory E-cells, you can jump into this sector and destroy the camping Xenon

I have found some success placing a Rimes Factory in Wastelands. You might also have some success with higher tier resources such as Warheads but I haven't got that far into the complex yet.

sorry for late reply, but I'm more of a vanillia guy who likes the base game as it is but that is something you could make yourself.

And for your next additions :) How about adding the locations of wrecks suitable for salvage using the SCS script?

I've enjoyed that script a lot. You can set the script to allow you to call in NPC salvage teams that for a large price will take a wrecked station and turn it into lots of salvaged goods that you can collect and sell for a large profit. A lot of fun :)

Congratulations on the improvements :)

@mmcheesywaffles As I already got a new computer recently, my saves are already wiped out so chances are it'll be awhile until I get some pictures on this.

May I suggest you add some pics of locations you recommend?

I'll certainly be using your Guide next time I set up a new X3 game. I often forget where I have tried before.

For players as Terran I can recommned Neptune as a base sector for anyone trying to get the Terran economy going. However, you need to limit any autotraders from going into the War Sectors and that makes it hard. Once you get the Southern Gate open to Segaris you will eventually have a trade route through to Aldrin.

Far as my experiences goes, I don't know much about building in Terran space so I cannot tell you much.

Is it possible for you to include suggested station/factory complexes including Terran economics?
