All this really contains is what is in game at the moment and does not really go into too much in regards to pro and cons of each weapon. Mainly because there's not much to say as things are likely to change heavily. Choice in firearm really is going to boil down to what works for you, length of the gun and on occasion, weight.

If you are also wondering why I have not mentioned grenades right now among other equipment well the tl;dr version is I cannot be bothered taking a good screenshot.

The one weapon class not to discount easily. Handguns are extremely useful in Ground Branch having superb handling especially in close quarters. It is even a valid tactic to consider only bringing a sidearm in maps with very tight areas. Kudos to the devs for making them really fun and a joy to use.

They only come in 9mm and .45acp at the moment and choice will be down really to what works for you. There were previously a few other sidearms including some in .40 but they have been removed from the game pending model updates.

The Colt .45 is the greatest handgun ever made. It's also the only sidearm in game that has virtually no attachments but why would you need to improve on perfection? .45acp Duh!

It's the Beretta. The sidearm I personally prefer to use currently but really everything is up to personal choice. 9x19mm

Yeah it's the SIG P226. 9x19mm

Technically this is not an all SMG section as there are Personal Defence Weapons (PDWs) in here as well. That said there are way too many MP5s in here for comfort with the only decision between them being if you want your gun to wear a thong or bloomers.

Still all generally solid choices if you want something for up close since they tend to be compact.

So yeah we are starting the SMG section with actually a Carbine. In game it's classed with SMGs and PDWs in loadouts despite firing 5.45x39mm rounds. Still a good weapon but lacks attachment options.

MP5 with a full stock.

MP5 with a thong.

MP5 with an integrated suppressor.

And you should get the just by now. Oh yeah and the MP5s are all in 9x19mm if you did not know that somehow.

A PDW in 4.6x30mm. Used to be a second version with a slightly extended stock. Also used to be OP due to firing 7.62x51mm.

Another SIG gun. For those who want an SMG in 9x19mm but don't want to use one of the very many MP5 variants.

The UMP, the only other gun in game also in .45acp

Really not much to say as there is only 2 at the moment, both in 12 Gauge and both Italian. Question is do you want a semi auto or pump action?

Contains way too many what are essentially duplicate weapons due to them being differentiated by barrel length. It also has the most firearm choice available right now so buckle up, this is going to be a long read.

Although this is indeed mainly Assault Rifles, a few Battle Rifles are in this section. Even though it's AR-15 simulator here there is at least some variety and not as bad as the MP5 situation.

Basically an AK-74 with rails allowing you to put on as many attachments as you desire. As you can guess AK-74s are in 5.45x39mm

Same as the gun above but with a shorter barrel.

Modernised version of the AK-74. Basically like all modern guns adds more plastic but doesn't have as many attachment options as the MI.

The actual classical AK in 7.62x39mm that you will see everywhere but everyone seems to want call an AK-47 for some reason.

The manliest weapon in the game. A 7.62x51mm Battle Rifle which would make it seem a bit out of place here. The major drawback to it is a lack of attachment options but why would you want to spoil that wood finish?

FAL that allows you to spoil it with attachments. Standard attachments encourages using this like a DMR.

That 5.56x45 Carbine of the gun that seems to always show up as a prop in armouries of Hollywood Action Movies but never really seen used.

Latest in the long line of the AR-15 that started it all. If you want a 5.56x45mm rifle that's long this is the choice for you.

Could also call this Sniper section although technically everything featured here is more akin to DMRs. Everything uses 7.62x51mm in this section, including the SVD at the moment. Really isn't much more to say in this section.

Yes it really does use 7.62x51mm at the moment cause 7.62x54mm isn't in game yet. Also lacks attachment options but still a very good Marksman weapon.

You may be wondering why I even bothered to include a list in this section. That's because there are other LMGs in the works. In the meantime enjoy the glory that is the MK48, the only LMG available!
