JNR/JRW 583 Series: Express Kitaguni (7/10Cars)

The Express Kitaguni was an overnight train service that operated in Japan from October 1961 until January 2013. Operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West/JRW), it ran between Niigata and Osaka, taking approximately 9 hours northbound (Osaka 23:27 >> Niigata 08:29) and 8 hours southbound (Niigata 22:55 >> Osaka 06:49). The service was officially discontinued in January 2013.
