- Turn V-Synch ON

You can optionally make it 60hz.

This should fix most of the bugs but being a bad port game, there are pleanty of random gliches/bugs in the game that cannot be fixed.

@Pod mentions - in compatibility tab on games properties, change compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 3 or other one + run as a administrator.

I know that, and it fixed the issue, but I'm just wondering as it doesn't move in a straight line for me, I have to turn to move

It doesn't care if you go straight or while turning. This fix fixes the movement and crash. You can move any way you want.

Hey, just a quick question regarding the RC Car, can it go in a straight line or is only supposed to move while turning? Thanks in advance!

Turning on Vsync helped with some things, but I still had massive hitches and multi-minute stalls. Turning on compatibility mode seems to have fixed them:

Right click in steam games list
select properties
select installed files on left
press "browse..." in top right
in the explorer window that pops up, right click on LEGOBatman.exe and select properties
go to compatibility tab
click "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select XP service pack 3. (only tick box in top group)
Select "run this program as administrator" (third tick box in second group)
Press OK

Try now. It no longer locks up when driving the car on the first mission and the game loads quicker. This works on other early LEGO games, e.g. LEGO Star Wars
