Description
A Source 2 port of Team Fortress 2's 'itemtest' map.

I tried making it look as faithful as possible to the original, even down to the lighting and post-processing.

You may still find some differences compared from the original Source 1 version, most notably the resolution of the lightmaps, allowing for much sharper shadows, which I think fits the artstyle more! I also turned some sprites into volumetric lights. You may find the map a bit overscaled, but that's mainly due to the fact that TF2's assets and playermodels were already big compared to other Source games.

This is mostly intended for S2FM. Keep in mind that the map will look dark on the viewport, so crank up the camera's 'toneMapScale' slider to the max.

This map includes:
  • Some TF2 models and materials
  • A "modular" version of the resupply cabinet asset, modified for VR physics interactions.
  • Items (Ammo and health crates) have also been tweaked. You can open them up! Unfortunately, I could not add a physics joint, so they all have loose covers.

@engineer gaming Actually, Justyn's map came first.
Though this is the first full on map "port" on the Workshop. Other Source 2 ports have also surfaced the internet, but they were never published.

Sorry for the late reply, but: it does show up in the main menu now. However, it crashes almost immediately after you load in.
