SEAL TEAM Direct Action and EOD (SP/COOP5)

Description
Lead your team of tier one operators to locate and dispose of suspected chemical weapons deep behind enemy lines.

FEATURES
  • SP or COOP play for up to 5 players, loosely inspired by the CBS show SEAL TEAM (S1E2), a return to modern ops for fans of my old Arma 2 content who have been waiting patiently while I was in a Arma WWII hole!
  • Insertion by military free-fall (MFF), parachute over the Iraq/Syria border and carry out a black ops mission in the shadows of a devastating modern conflict!
  • Virtual armory-enabled supply crate at the rendezvous point, allowing you to run custom addons and use whatever weapons/gear you want!
  • Custom "war-torn" hand placed set pieces transform a corner of Takistan into the ruins of Nagara, use them to your advantage in order to withstand a hostile force many times your size!
  • Dynamically-spawned enemies for optimized CPU-friendly performance!

AUTHOR'S NOTES
  • This is my second scenario for Arma 3 based on modern ops or real-world operations, it's also based on a TV show, so take the "realism" with a grain of hollywood-flavored salt
  • This is a work of fiction, any resemblance to real people or events is purely coincidental.
  • This is a beta release, some bugs may exist. Also, it's Arma, so there are bound to be things that will affect your playthrough. Reloading the mission can solve some issues. Please let me know if you run into any game-breaking bugs.
  • DO NOT EJECT THE C130J MANUALLY - this mission uses Beerkan's super simple para drop script, which will spawn a parachute for you, and should save your backpack and equip it once you hit the ground. If you eject manually, you will probably not have a parachute equipped and just go splat. Alternatively, some players have manually equipped parachutes, which means you will not have a backpack on the ground - players and use the Virtual Armory at the RV point to re-equip as needed.
  • NOT RESPONSIBLE for any game-breaking bugs or issues playing with any addons in addition to the required ones listed here, I designed the mission to support Virtual Armory, but I can't be held responsible if things don't work because of another modder's addon.

awesome mission, as a fan of the tv show and this game and the magnificent author, i dare to say this mission catch the good side of all aforementioned trinity.

but if i know there will be multiple spawned jihadi human waves, i definitely would pack some claymores, which i did in the second playthrough

Hey. Here's a tip for future missions. Don't make the players have to deal with the ai. Especially if they lose the mission if he dies. I watched that ai walk every direction but where we told him to go. Ended up failing at the very end cause he chose to walk directly into the enemy fire instead of the evac.

We would have loved the mission a lot more if not for having to deal with him. Arma ai is just not good.

Another problem was at the beginning, Some of us didn't have parachutes when the plane kicked us out. Don't know what happened there. Couldn't do anything with the civilians and the game didn't register that we blew up the weapons.

Even after all that I would still like to try again at some point as it was a very cool mission with a very cool environment. You've definitely got a lot of potential.

Really good scenario. Town was really interesting. Terrain made for a really interesting approach. Enemy units placed well and not an overwhelming force, was still intense in the town. Keep them coming :)

cool mission set up and nice attention to detail with the props in the objective town, i had issues with commanding the friendly AI but other than that it was fun

on dedicated as noted below parachutes have to be equipped manually alas Frost doesnt get one. F for Frost the human pancake. Mission fails

Thanks for the mission! Have you tried it in a dedicated server? I think the parachute script doesn't work on servers. When play this in local it works perfectly, but when trying on a dedi we all eat the floor big time.

Please continue making missions on this very good tv series. I love this TV series and maybe you make a campaign based on in.
