(there are obviously subgrids it's a rotor turret what'd you expect)

Description:

The PDC2 is a standardized PDC for ship combat and missile defense. It has 8 gatling guns (the maximum allowed under GV weapons treaties) and a wide arc of fire from most positions on ships. The hinge design provides excellent gun depression and elevation, letting the turret aim almost straight up.
With the advent of multi-grid projecting (MGP) in the GV system, more efficient turret designs became possible, and the PDC2 was quickly replaced with a new design: the PDC3. However, the PDC2 remains hard to beat in areas where MGP technology is unavailable, making it a great option to outfit the warship of your choice just about anywhere!

-Mass: ~14,500 kg.
-PCU: 1,291
-Blocks: 179

How to use:

Make sure the spot on your ship where you want to mount this turret is relatively flat. You may have to first remove some components or armor and add it back later. Just paste this turret's azimuth rotor onto that spot.
The PDC2 has groups already set up for both Whip's Turret AI Slaving Script ("PDC2 Turret Group") and the Diamond Dome Defense Script ("DDS Turrets"). Follow the setup instructions provided by the author of whichever script you want to use. One or more designators will need to be added to your ship; for Whip's especially, I recommend placing them with similar arcs of fire/views of the surrounding area that you want the given PDC to cover.

My thumbnail was made with the Green Screen skybox and some editing in paint dot net; the awesome logo is courtesy of Paralix (ty soooo much!). Screenshots use Realistic Skybox and Apothilight, plus some FOV tweaking (nvidia ansel i loooove u)
