[BF] German Army: Invasion of Poland

On September 1st 1939 the German Wermacht invaded Poland. This would be considered the tipping point of World War Two, igniting Britain and France into war with Germany. This came as somewhat of a surprise to Hitler as he had seen the British goverment as spineless after his previous conquests had gone without much in the way of long term repercussions . Although Britain promised to come to the defense of Poland they had very little ability to actually step in to directly assist Poland. On top of this, during negotians Poland refused to cooperate with the Soviet Union in an alliance against Germany. This would come back to haunt them when the USSR made a pact with Germany and they both invaded the underprepared nation. The Polish army fought with pure determination with many battles being fought with overwhelming odds stacked against them. It was so intense that many German generals later advised against invading France until they were better equipped. However with the might of the USSR and ♥♥♥♥ Germany invading them on a two front surprise attack, Poland would fall and be split in two. Germany would in many cases go further then the agreed boundaries as a blatant way of grabbing oil. However war between the USSR and Germany would not start up until 1941 as Germany used the same surprise 'blitzkrieg' invasion tactics they used on Poland against the USSR.
