Cheap, low-tech and compact repeater with good maneuverability margin. You can remove static solar panels if you have learned retractable (they are heavier), or vice versa. With static solar panels, you need to make sure that the satellite is not turned towards the sun by a dish or nozzle, as there is a small chance of losing control of the satellite due to a blackout.
